It is not Automatic.  It just installed an automatic switch to mine.  Video will be up next week.  The switch comes on when the switch is off.  The switch on the console still works to manually turn it on.

 

I am just finishing up the automatic charging relay and switch for my new battery.  This will charge my starter battery and .y new house battery.

You guys are right, it's not automatic. I'm ordering the Johnson Ultima Bilge Pump Switch. No moving parts. looks like $48.00. Took about 15 minutes to drain LOL.

The first year the take-up hose fell off in the tank... Broke down on the lake a few time until I figured out there was no hose clamp on it. 

 

Now, the tank is expanding so much until the take line is angled to the point when fuel gets low, like a little below half, it will not suck in fuel... Broke down going as fast as I could.

 

I had to pull the tank out to release pressure and press the deformities out.

 

For both issues, if in a jam, just tilt your tank up to the point it can get fuel in the line

Ok... Finished with another wave of modifications.  Today I installed my battery switch that powers everything on, off, or combines both house and starting battery for emergency needs.  

 

I installed an automatic charging relay that will charge my house battery from the alternator once the starting battery is sufficient.  

 

Since I am running out of space with 4 batteries, two charges, tank, and spare gas can... I used an ammo box to host/house the switch and relay.  All positive connections are in the box and the grounds are on top.  I have an off switch on the side for the ACR.  This way, it will not drain power just from being installed...  It is constantly running, so switch was good.  Finally it has ignition isolation, so I ran another wire from my key's ignition wire to the ACR.

 

Not a cheap upgrade and time consuming... I had to terminate each battery cable so I purchase a crimper for heavy gauge wire.  The terminals cost more than I wanted... And so did the wire.  

 

Overall, I am happy that I am in a position to more efficiently manage my battery power.  I am going on a. Road trip Ina. Few weeks with the boat and will be hitting a few states.  This will help me out.  Overall goal is to not get stuck on the water or sink, lol!  Video of the install to come.

I installed my pump switch today. I like how it attaches to the pump and has no moving parts. You can test it by putting two fingers over the sensors. Pretty slick and easy to install but the instructions aren’t too good.

Getting ready to take the boat back to Arkansas and fish for a few weeks.  Today, I worked on the boat and trailer.  Started with the bearings.  One was and good shape.  The other I found water in the grease.  The rubber seal was no longer uniform.  It had play and allowed water to get it.  The hub and bearings were okay.  I just pushed out all old grease.  I used the Lucas blue Marine grease and ran till it was blue and not purple.  I will buy another rubber seal in the morning.

 

I changed the lower gear oil and the motor oil.  I greased up all the places with zerks on the outboard.  I topped off the trim fluid.  And made sure the tires were inflated.  I noticed one tire had sand in it!!??  I only one did... Apparently it came like that because I have never had it in sand.  I will get a shop to pop it off rim one day.

 

Since I will be traveling, I added a couple eye bolts to lock the back hatch with batteries and gas.  I made a custom length cable and swaged it.  I can now cable lock my boat. It will be good for when it is on the driveway too!  I know a their will get past anything, but this is to catch a person off guard trying to steal gas or my batteries.

I started my trip today. I ultimately decided then rather than repacking the bearings, I just replaced all of the bearings and put a new seal on. I did all of the work on the engine as I stated before. I finally purchased a spare tires well.

 

So far so good. in Arizona currently and going to try to push through the rest of the night.  Anybody along I Forty?

Ok, 2k miles later, I am here and only had one issue.  One the guide bunks fell off along the way.  I guess it just loosened up and fell off.  I found out yesterday in OKC.  So I purchased some wood and carpet.  I replace it this morning before I got fishing. The hubs never got hotter than warm.  I checked things out at every stop.  I had the trailer tire pressure at max.  towards the end of the trip I lost some tire pressure and the trailer got jumpier, but all went very well.  Happy to see lower gas prices.

Have you checked out that tire yet?  Wondering the reason for the lower tire pressure.

Yeah, I was going to have the tire unmounted to get the sand out... But I figured it's been ok this far...

I have not found a nail or anything... 

Ok...  One of my rear seals popped out at my destination.  I brought spares with me, so I was able to fox it quickly at my mom's house. 

 

I launched my boat and not only did I lose the side bunk, but I lost all but one lag bolt on the trailer.  When I pulled my trailer out of the river, the bunk was floating.  I took one of the bolts from the other side when I left. 

 

So, check your bolts of you have not yet.  I see how screws get in people's tires... I have five on I-40... Sorry world, lol!
