NewBallCoach Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Anyone who has changed their fishfinder, is there a fuse box in this boat? If so, where is it? Thanks in advance. Quote

Bolar Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 I got my tray installed and tried it out today. It sets the foot peddle back more than I anticipated. It's definitely an improvement while standing. I'm going to have to secure it to the bottom of the tray.  I got the Cool Foot pad stuck on the peddle also. The black peddle does get hot in the sun, I thought this might help. Now with the peddle back farther, I'm going to have to look for a butt seat and post .      4 Quote
NewBallCoach Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Got the transducer mounting plate installed today. Letting the sealant set over night before I install the transducer. 3 Quote
Bolar Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 It seems like the trolling motor battery longevity is all over the place. Mine started to act up last fall, and I was thinking it was the trolling motor. It won't hold a charge and is out of warranty. I got Duracell from Sam's, we will see how long this will last. 1 Quote

I was stuck again, but thankfully I had my jump starter. Either going to get a new starter (hybrid) battery or get a second battery and charger for the house only. Thinking about putting a switch on it to make emergency changes or to charge both from alternator. slowworm Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Check the charger that you are using. It may be cooking the battery.  J. Quote

NewBallCoach Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 I was able to take out the boat the other day after installing the fish finder a few weeks ago. I am very happy with it. The picture was super clear and it worked better than I anticipated. Now I'm ready to go do some crappie fishing with it. 1 Quote
SeriousBlack Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 Got the Heritage out for the first time in 2020. I used this chartreuse colored worm and caught this pike or pickerel. Lol 6 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 26, 2020 Super User Posted May 26, 2020 That's a big pickerel. Nice! 1 Quote
I ike big bass Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Hello everybody. I have finally ordered my bass tracker classic...now the wait!!! Im trying to occupy myself so that time will go by faster. Bass pro said it would be 6-8 weeks. Today makes 2 weeks. And its dragging on. After reading all the pages on this thread, and getting ideas, im buying things that i will need for when the boat finally comes in. Could someone measure the back storage compartment for me? Im getting tackle and lures ready to put in the boat so i can start fishing a.s.a.p. I want to buy tackle boxes for the back but i cant seem to find the dimensions of the compartment. Thanks in advance and tight lines! 2 Quote

jaimeastin Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 More tips for the tank if you find yourself broken-down on the water.  The first year the take-up hose fell off in the tank... Broke down on the lake a few time until I figured out there was no hose clamp on it.  Now, the tank is expanding so much until the take line is angled to the point when fuel gets low, like a little below half, it will not suck in fuel... Broke down going as fast as I could.  I had to pull the tank out to release pressure and press the deformities out.  For both issues, if in a jam, just tilt your tank up to the point it can get fuel in the line Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 28, 2020 Super User Posted May 28, 2020 Can't you just open and close the cap as part of your start up procedure? Or is it that hard to get to? Quote

I can. I pretty much do that every day that it's parked in my driveway. Thing is, the tank holds the shape of the deformity. So I have to take it out and push it in. Still it's so deformed and round, it does not sit flat.   I know EPA and California (carb) keeps it from venting... I have thought about just opening the cap and leaving it that way in storage. I don't want to do that. I am looking for a new tank today. 1 Quote

I just want to help anyone out who might be on a position like was... Running find, then the engine cuts out. My engine thinks that I just don't give it enough gas. But this tank is giving me two issues that has cause the engine to run empty. Quote
ratman Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Had to limp back to dock last week after boat started running rough.Checked the usual things and figured it was fuel pump.Ended up being a cracked spark plug boot. The plug end of the top wire was cracked in multiple spots and was arcing.Mechanic put new boot on and she is purrrring like a kitten again.Another thing to add to troubleshooting list.Installed fold down cleats all around, added two midship which work great with one of those short little bungy tie up lines. Also upgraded to 24v 80lb. terrova and love it.Makes fishing so much more relaxing,I actually use my butt seat for sitting alot now.Autopilot is amazing. 1 Quote

Will check my boot too. Had the cover off looking over things and didn't see anything off, but will not check this more.   I really need a motor with spot lock... Quote
SeriousBlack Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Hey, anyone know if our bilge is automatic or not? I'm leaving my boat at a dock for now on. Quote
