SeriousBlack Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 It's odd because the price would be lower if the HP was wrong. I just made sure it wasn't April Fools Day. Quote
Mindspread Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 The pull straps on the batteries are difficult to say the least to get tight but they also work there way lose. The ones I think you guys are talking about have more of a cam locking action like what comes on the boat for your transom straps, those are much better. Â Any tips for cleaning the hull have only been out a hand full if times and I already have a nice water line on the side if my hull. The discoloration was there after the first run. I know jaime had a video about cleaning and care but I'm unsure if cleaning and protecting the hull was covered. I have been looking at shark hide protectant but I'm not sure about the cleaner. Seems like 303 protectant is like Frank's Red Hot. Quote

Never use purple power on aluminum though, it will pit bad. If you leave the water film on too long it won't come off with simple green also. Best to pull off to the side of the boat ramp and wipe it while it's still wet with a rag to get most off. Quote
ratman Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Anyone have issues putting on new transducer, seem's like holes on boat are to low.Putting a garmin striker 7sv on.Don't want to drill anymore holes in transom.guess i'll have to put a block on,also have to patch big hole on dash where they mounted old fish finder.Instructions don't say how far below bottom of boat transducer should be Quote

jaimeastin Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I made a few new mods to my boat... New video ideo to come tomorrow.   The biggest check is the Bimini top. My wife and I entered into a catfish contest. We didn't win, but just sitting for a fish to bite in 90+ degrees was nice under the Bimini top. Although I still got a migraine from the heat, it was after we left the lake rather than during the fishing. I will provide install instructions later  The install was easy. 1 hour ago, The1Fist said: Yeah, and with 100+ temps it's worth EVERY PENNY  I installed mine yesterday and it is husband tested, wore approved. We love it. It was awesome today. It cooled things down at least 10+ degrees. Made it comfortable. So comfortable, it was hard to standup and fish... Although before we put it up, we were standing up and fishing somewhat comfortable and very hot.  It was easy to install and only $145 on Amazon. 2 Quote
LoweH Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Steering wheel cap also came off while driving down interstate. Called BP and they ordered a new one. Also has anyone had problems with the flimsy rod holders? 1 Quote

This way, you can patch up their work and place your transducer anywhere you like, within range of course.  The transducer block is only $20 and will allow you to make adjustments without concern.  The transducer should be just below the boat, just barely...  You what it more even than not.  Too low, and you will have a roostertail, too high and you will not get good readings.  I can still get readings up to about 10 mph, or a little more.  I cannot get reading going over 20.  I am still playing around with it.   There are many videos on youtube, few are great though, lol.  The garmin instructions have a diagram.  I moved mine as clost to the motor, on the right side.  I made sure it had clearance since it is a long side imaging one. Quote

Bolar Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 So I was coming home last Monday and I had to take an unusual detour because a telephone pole fell across the road . My detour was down a gravel road for about 5 miles. I don't normally travel with the cover on, I mostly go to places that are close by with roads that are paved. I was going pretty slow, but the boat still got dusted pretty good. So today I vacuumed up cottonwood fuzz from last week and the small bits of gravel that made its way into the boat. I wasn't really sure how to get rid of all the dust so I just hosed down the carpet. I parked on a hill to get a good drain, and sprayed it out. Boy that carpet holds a lot of water! I used a squeegee to pull the water down to the drain. I took the windshield off and cleaned that with glass cleaner and conditioned all of the black plastic. Now I'll let it dry in the sun and see what peels up .  BTW I noticed the steering wheel cap was a little lose. I pulled it off and noticed that it is held in with just two plastic posts coming out from the center of the wheel. Very cheap design. I'm not sure how I'm going to secure it better.   Quote

Mcarrico2 Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 I bought the 4 bow Bimini top just cause it was a little taller plus adds 2 feet. Fits perfect even being 8 foot long.  Quote
StapleNut Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 The wind died down finally. The temperature unfortunately climbed. Got to try out the Powerpole Micro today. It did awesome. With the 8.5ft pole in the soft delta I could anchor in about 6.5-7ft. The delta Is very shallow for the most part so it should be fine. The pole has a 1/4-20 threaded hole so I through on the GoPro to see how it would look at the top of the pole when running around.    Quote

I did the first couple times with out the cover it's was a short road but it still got very dusty. Spent the weekend vacuuming out the carpet & cleaning the plastic. It was more of a helpful suggestion for anybody that does and is worried about loosing the cap.  For the money the Heritage edition was a really good deal. It does seem to have some quality issues but so far nothing that really would be a deal breaker in the end anyways. Silly little stuff in reality. Quote
grizzy Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Anyone know if these boats get shipped from Tracker with the trolling motor and fish finder installed/mounted, or does the selling dealer actually install these items? Quote

One thing to note, I adjust the straps so it's a slight nose down attitude, so I don't snag it while casting up front, and it saves a little room in the back for her. We love it. Also, I've driven with it full speed and have never thought it was going to fail me. FOR ANYONE HAVING DEAD BATTERY ISSUES: I noticed my battery was dying EVERY outing. Come to find out, the dummies at Tracker wired my accessories to my trolling battery and my trolling motor to my crank battery! I feel even more stupid because it took me three outings to realize it! 23 hours ago, StapleNut said: The wind died down finally. The temperature unfortunately climbed. I had the camera mounted to the top of the pole for the footage. When you double tap up it retracts all the way up and after a second it will retract the rod back down a couple inches to hold it in place for driving to the next spot. It will accept most 3/4" OD poles so the depth is expandable. The powerpole brand pole fits perfectly along the drivers side with the clips provided. Out of the way Quote
boostr Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Finally saw one of these new fangled bass catching dodads at the lake this past weekend. Really nice looking rig. Oh and it was finally the first time I took my boat out this season (Not a Heritage)... And the weather was really $H!#Y... My Luck. Quote
