jbmaine Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Thanks everyone for this wonderful post and replies. I didn't buy one, but it's been fun reading all about them. I'll be looking forward to my first sighting of one on my local lakes. I guess you could say it's kind of like a "celebrity" sighting. 1 1 Quote

Comes across either jealous or mad lol  Anyhow I have a v Hull 120 horse ? stern drive how much of a difference and what should I expect going to flat bottom and outboard ? Yeah he did come off as negative, but nothing we need to concern ourselves with. We got in on an opportunity that sold out for obvious reasons. There are no concerns or justifications necessary. It's just not cool when someone has to put another down to make themselves fell better it justified. I don't think he meant any harm though. He was in on the deal then bought a lowe. He has congratulated us as we have him. He did start with a fact... But that applies to 75% of the stuff we buy lol! He is in the same boat as we are in terms of buying something that depreciates as soon as you sign your name to it  This boat ride was smoother than I thought. I know it doesn't have the "revolution hull" , but it was cool. We trimmed it nicely and just skimmed the water. There was another guy out with his Klamath vhull stern control and was cutting through the water very well. What difference we will have is a little more stability. I don't plan to crash through waves like I would work a vhull though.  Quote
Mindspread Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Hello, thank you all for contributing to this page. I have been reading it for quite a while and seems to me to be the best resource for the Heritage Boat. lots of positive conversation & tons of use full information, just when you think things are going to go south and get off topic it comes right back to what the page is about. I ordered my heritage back on 2/7 & got the phone call my boat will be in around last week of April or so. Â I currently own a 1985 Coleman Crawdad I did some custom work on added floor, decking front and rear and a dual battery setup with a fuse block to power lights bilge and so forth. great little boat I have owned since around probably 1993. I would say its past time for a upgrade and like so many of you seen the value Tracker has put into the Heritage package. Â 4 Quote

jaimeastin Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Just got my $400 gift card. I received and email. I then put the HIN in and the gift card was present. It was an e gift card. I have already been using the VIP. Just call in the order or in store and you can use the HIN from your boat to get the 10-20% off. I have another $50 cabelas card that I might convert to a BP card. I do believe this boat card can be used at both locations.    2 Quote

It will be interesting to see if their number is accurate. They also said that the boats just ordered would be delivered in September? Â Â they say its limited, but when you compair numbers to a 175pro, for instance, I'm sure they built less of it for 18. regardless, it was never about numbers for me, I just like the look of the heritage. Â in fact, if tracker offered the same look in a pro175 id get the 175 as I think the layout is much better with the rod storage, Â livewell, and seating, as well as recessed foot control. Â I'm still on the fence about which one to get. 1 Quote
conceptmachine Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Â Edit: Â just talked with bass pro and they said that all the demo models are sold. Â said they go to the next person that was in line locally. Quote
Pappy3 Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I'd pass on the floor model. These are early production models, so they are more likely to have construction or design issues. Later production models would have any deficiencies found in the floor models corrected. Plus you don't know how many people have already picked, climbed over, and prodded the boat. Quote
conceptmachine Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I suppose those that are next in line have a right to refuse the demo models. i'd look it over first, just like I'll do with mine that comes in, if it looks poorly made I'll refuse it an ask for a different one.  Quote

Bolar Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 So the last time I was out there were no piers to tie up to (they pull then out for the winter).  The only place to tie up was along a concrete wall. I was lucky, I had my wife along to hold the boat awhile I parked, and keep it off the wall.  Since then, I've been looking at boat fenders.  The traditional fenders I've looked at would hang just below the gunnel and with the angle of the bow going down, it looks like I might still get some scrape.  Also with the wind and waves, would the fenders roll out of position?   I got this large diameter pool noodle to experiment with. I figured I would cut it on half, then split it down the center and slipping them on the gunnel. I'm not sure how to keep them from popping off...it's a work in progress.   1 Quote
