Judging by some of the pictures i have seen I'm not sure a 3rd battery and 2 gas tanks would fit. Would probably have to do one or the other? If any of you have this setup could you post some pictures on your layout?  Thanks! I haven’t laid a tape measure to the compartment yet, but I was thinking about a 3 gallon tank like the one that came with the boat. I know they come in different dimensions depending on the manufacturer. A 3 gallon and battery may work in that space but just eyeballing it a 6 gallon tank and extra battery probably won’t fit comfortably. I’ll lay a tape in mine tomorrow and see. Quote

I remembered this post, so I decided to give the show boat prop a few good yanks. That Merc prop had a 32nd or so longitudinal play along the shaft as well. Must be normal. 2 Quote

I will not run it parallel for the trolling mortor. My setup would be... Cranking Cor engine out, trolling motor on it's on batter, and finally the electronics on it's on deep cycle battery. My third batter is one o have used for my inflatable boat, group 27 and is 1.5 years old. Always maintenained and in great condition. Again, I do not want to have it parallel... Will this be ok to charge with and use?  I know I can always move my eletrobsck to he cranking batter if needed... I just don't like the idea of my electronics on my cranking battery...  If need be, I can go and buy a new battery, but thing I want to match it to the interstate and those dang things are as easy to grab as they are in specific stores, especially for marine batteries  This is fine. Your equipment doesn't' care where it's getting it's juice from, just as long as they are getting 12V.   1 Quote
"D" Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Saw one of the original "brown tracker's" yesterday. I haven't seen one in years except for Bill Dance's boat that is on display at the Memphis BPS. Not sure what year, but the Mercury on the back looked a lot like Bill's! It was in great shape. I can't wait until I get mine! 2 Quote

ratman Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Noticed prop rub's in one spot when you turn it and there is a wear mark.Taking it in first thing in morning.Hope fully it's just prop or something simple.I have never hit anything,in fact only thing lower unit has come in contact with is water and transom saver. Get a proper prop wrench. You DO NOT want to over torque it. The prop wrench is plastic, and prevents this. They're $12 and most float. Quote

This is very true!!! The seat is always in the way. I tried to drive a few times with it up just to see if there was any way to avoid taking it down after each move. Result, you need to move it. Thankfully, it is just pop the seat off and put it on the floor with the pole on the ready. What I will mostly likely do is Not use the seat at all. Just leave it at home. Second is just get a long pole and a butt seat. I knew I should have bought the butt seat a couple weeks ago...  2 Quote

PA FischFang Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I have been watching this topic for a long time now... My story. I thought about buying a used boat that would be something I could handle launching and loading easier by myself and fishing smaller electric only lakes (we have a 20 ft. Sun Tracker pontoon boat and it is somewhat of a pain when launching and loading by myself). So then seeing the prices of used boats and coming across the Heritage boat convinced me that the Heritage boat was the way to go. I placed the order a few weeks ago and the boat was due in next week. Some issues that I didn't like about the Heritage: Living in PA I am close to Lake Nockamixon which is a 20 HP limit lake so having a 40 HP would limit my ability to fish there. Another was the 9 gallon livewell - I don't really keep many fish but between bait and either some panfish or catfish I would have preferred a 2nd livewell or a larger one. The last issue I was worried about the quality - I looked at the Heritage and even the 170 at Bass Pro and both boats had issues - Heritage the carpet was bunched up on the side wall and the pedestal seats were very wobbly (maybe just from a lot of people on it but...). Even the 170 had 2 sections of flooring that met right at the front pedestal seat that were uneven to the point I would be worried about tripping all the time.  I never gave up the search for a used boat and ended up finding and purchasing a Lowe boat that hopefully works out for me a little bit better.  Congratulations to all who have purchased this boat it is certainly a great deal. It has been exciting to see how many guys who never owned a boat or haven't for a long time are getting back into fishing. I have kept reading this thread even after I purchased my Lowe boat and find the modifications that you guys are doing to be great.  I can't wait to see you guys cruising around the lakes with your awesome looking boats. I will be sure to say hello. 2 Quote

Bisk1tSnGraV Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Does anyone have measurements between the supports on the front deck as of yet? I want to verify that a trolling motor pedal tray is going to fit with no issues. Thanks all. 1 Quote

This is the answer when talking with Tracker Customer Support … "There is not space for a recessed trolling motor pedal between the stringers, and could actually cause structural damage to install that. It is not recommended."   1 Quote
