The will install everything but they want $100/hr

This is classic dealership antics.  Just smile, and say "OK."

Im having a Garmin 74SV put in mine with free installation and marked way down. Move the little ff up front, spare tire and bracket, 2 bank Minn Kota charger. This will be done while I wait for spring.

I am putting my Elite 7 HDI on the front and a Humminbird 797 SI on the console.  Also adding a 2 bank charger, swapping the 45# Edge with my 55# Maxuum and putting retractable straps on the trailer.  Plus add in the spare into the carrier on the trailer.

Very nice! I think I modify just about everything I buy.

That's probably the second or maybe first reason I cannot wait to get it!  I love to modify my vehicles and kayaks.  I am a DIY person.  My boat will most likely not go the dealer for service or installation. I will do the oil changes and servicing, just like my cars.

  • I just about a Garmin 74SV for the console... While I am thinking of moving the hook 3 to the bow, I I will most likely  buy another FF with at least chirp and down vu/scan.
  • I am adding a third battery which I already have.  I will add a 3 bank charger.  I am in no rush to upgrade the trolling motor unless I got a good deal. I work a spot much longer than the typical bass fisherman run-gun method.  I would like a trolling mother that saves more battery, but that why I am adding the battery.  More battery life at very little cost rather than buying another trolling motor.
  • Going to add a spare tire, but more likely used will be a patch/plug kit.  I bought a new transom saver because many tracker owners complain that the one that ships is junk.  Lots of people said it broke on them in short time.  So, I will use it till it breaks.
  • I will also seal the trailer lights... I have heard many tracker owners have to get their lights replaced because the lights are not water tight... I see bass pro has "water proof" lights for sale around $30... I will just use marine goop and call it a day.

I need to get my boat so I can work up some diagrams for a rod locker.  I want to get measurements in-between the two seats as I will add another seat where the drain is.  Finally, I might extend the deck to the console so that I can store more gear with a hatch... These are longer projects... No too long.  It is hard for me to wait for stuff as one my mind is on it, I have to get it done although I might not be able to use it for a while.

I have been a sleeper on here since Dec. I ordered my boat on 1/16 and she is now sitting at home as of 2 hours ago. I was told today that they never seen this demand coming and they are running 3 shifts and a new boat comes off the line every 45 minutes. How true, I don’t know, but that is what I was told. I have a 17’ Bullet bass boat that will flat out run and scare the demons out of you. I am looking forward to slowing down now and going places I won’t take my Bullet. Let those fellers at the boat ramp laugh at me in my new Heritage and call me a noob. I will take their $$ from them in this boat if need be. I love this boat already and I haven’t set it in the H2O yet. Be proud of what you have and just smile at the ones that want to call you a noob or all that boat ramp trash talk. I do believe I made a wise purchase and see lots of fish in our future. Be safe and hammer some fish with this warming weather that is coming.

Love hearing that guys are getting their boats delivered. Especially the ones that ordered just two weeks before I did. :) (Fingers crossed, that Thumpkeg ordered his in Texas)The salesman at BPS on Sunday told me that the console construction was the limiting factor at only 24 per day, but they have now increased it to 30 per day to try and catch up with some of the demand. Even with the added boats per day, they are now quoting June for delivery if you order it now. They are also upping the deposit to $500. The weather here has been absolute garbage, which is the only thing keeping me from really going crazy.

When you guys start doing mods to your boats, please post some pictures! I like some of the ideas that jaimeastin is planning to install.

Great forum - appreciate all the information!

Ordered mine on January 11 and today when I checked, the dealer said my boat was built and waiting to ship.

This will be my first boat and it's 'comforting' to see all the other first time buyers.  I'm a 70+ year old senior and just sold my Hobie PA 14 to get this boat.  The kayak was trailered so I have some experience on the adult boat ramp but everything else is new for me.

Like several others I am restraining myself not to buy any accessories until I actually have the boat to see what I really need.

I do have a question about which charger, for the trolling motor, is recommended.  I won't be keeping the boat at home so I'll have to take out the trolling battery and charge it.

Has anyone heard of the "Combiner 100"?  It's supposedly a gadget that shares the output with the trolling motor when the outboard is running without messing up the batteries or warranty.

Looking forward to pics of everyone's as they come in and any modifications that are made.

So as I posted before I'm picking up my boat on Saturday. I was informed if I put so much a a single screw in the deck the warranty is void. The will install everything but they want $100/hr not including the 120 mile round trip to get it there.

tracker dealer yesterday told me I could leave footpedal for trolling motor loose or screw it down wherever i wanted.Your dealer must be full of it.

I purchased mine at the Sevierville Bass Pro here in East TN. My wait wasn’t long but I had the flu and in bed for 3 weeks and couldn’t get excited about mine showing up. Which probably is a good thing for me, because I am impatient as they get. Which is another good reason for me to get this boat and slow down my boat ride. I was also told if you now order it will be June-July before delivery. And as far as drilling holes......That’s your boat and add-ons are inevitable. I’m installing a transducer block on my transom so I can hang my transducers without drilling more holes into the hull. I’ll also be installing a Lowrance hook2 7x TripleShot up front (holes will be drilled in deck) I’ll also be installing a Hook2 on the dash (more holes) and when I find the comfy spot for my foot pedal I’ll drill it to the floor so it’s not flopping up/down on the deck or falling in the floor and possibly breaking rods. Matter of fact, one of the last things the man that gave me the walk around and inspection told me I could screw it down if I wanted. That’s when he adjusted mine on the front deck for the ride home. But......... don’t forget to read all the papers you signed and the 5 pounds of reading material that gave us. They always get me in the fine print if I don’t read. I can’t wait to break mine in, I have seen some standing timber and rock piles here at home with the water down this winter. I want to get them marked on my units and they are now covered with water due to all the rain we had. Time to ride.

Hmmm sounds fishy to me. Was this from Tracker or the dealer? I'm not sure how installing a fish finder or two would void a warranty especially structural.

I was told the deck warranty in the area of the do it myself work would be void. I was told 3yr warranty on the motor 5yrs on the deck lifetime on the hull. Unless they do all the installs. Yes from BPS.

Call Tracker Marine directly, and inform them of this misguided dealer.

Firefightermikee, if you placed the order after 1/1/18 you should have 5 years of warranty coverage instead of 3. Mercury is running an extended warranty coverage promotion until the end of March. See my previous post from yesterday with the Boat Sales Mgr confirming the extended 5 year warranty for the outboard is included.

Exactly … let them laugh.  I am seeing a lot complain of the wait time and say they are going to get their deposit back and buy a Pro170.  I guess if you have that disposable income that is all well and good but why didn't you pull the trigger on the Pro170 way earlier than this.  Cannot wait to get mine.  Heading on a cruise tonight so that will get my mind off the wait a little … ordered mine 1/4.

I'm with @J Francho on this. I'd call tracker direct. Something else that doesn't make sense is a 5 year warranty on the deck? There's a limited lifetime warranty on the Pro 160 deck which is pretty much the exact same boat. So why only a 5 year on the Heritage? Things aren't adding up.

Not sure how Tracker is but most boats you order are at least a 6 week wait, most are 9 plus.

What was your order date?

Not exactly sure.  We financed through my credit union, and when approved, they called BassPro and ordered for me.  I know it was during the last week of January, but don't know the specific day.  When I called BassPro to order when I found out I was approved, they said the order was already placed, much to my surprise.  Good thing I really wanted it, huh?  Lol

Suggestions for best on-board charger?
