I'm guessing that's when they're going to start rolling them out. Typically a new boat order takes 6-10 weeks as it is, so that would put you close to the ETA they gave you. Quote

Do you know if there's a matching spare for the heritage? Which fish finder for the trolling motor? Which on board charger?  Thanks! Quote

Wow, I didn't even notice there was no spare tire. When I looked at the boat, the salesman said they just put it on the floor two hours prior. They had taken everything that wasn't bolted down, out of the boat. I figured the tire was with that stuff. Looking at the promo pictures there is no tire, and none listed in the features/options. My $400 gift card is fading fast! SeriousBlack Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I bought this to put on my truck window. Should go nice with my new boat. 8 Quote
Don King Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 I have a quick question. I opted to finance my bass tracker heritage and of course they offered me the platinum protection plus, the seven year premium warranty, the gap insurance and a health insurance option. I had opted for the platinum protection plus and the seven year premium warranty. I wanted to get feedback from all of you since being a boat owner is brand new to me. The 4 extended/optional warranty programs are listed below.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!  -     5 year Platinum Protection Plan. This is a protective coating that covers anything paint, gel, carpet/fabric, leather, and/or vinyl from rips, tears, burns, stains, fading and chalking, blood and bodily fluids. If any of these occur, someone will come out to wherever your boat is located, and either repair or replace the damaged/stained component. The total cost of this policy is $899 -          7 year Warranty on boat, motor and trailer on the electric and mechanical components. If something happens to the boat you can take it in to any licensed marine mechanic and pay a $100 deductible and it will cover all of the labor and parts to fix it. The total cost of this policy is $799 -          8 year GAP coverage, so if the boat is totaled it will pay the difference between what your insurance company gives you for the used value and what you still owe on the loan, plus it will pay your insurance deductible so you would not have any money out of pocket if the boat is totaled either on land or water and you won’t have to keep making a payment on a boat that has been totaled. The total cost of the policy is $320 -          5 year Accident Health Coverage, so if you are sick or injured and can’t work for more than 14 days it will make your boat payment until you can return to work. The cost of the policy is $479 Quote

Tracker has a 5 year bow to stern warranty. You want to pay $899 for a mistake you might make? 2. Seven years on electrical? This isn't a car with a bunch of high tech accessories. 3. Gap coverage I have no opinion on. BUT if you did the 144 month @ $97 a month, it might be wise. 4. Accident health coverage? Getting disability insurance from your employer is a better option. 5. How much in interest will the additional $2k in insurance cost you? If you financed for 144 months. Another $500? Quote
Goldstar225 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 I never purchase the add ons. Those end up being almost pure profit for the dealer, In your example it totals $2,497.00. That's 25% added to the cost of the boat with little chance of needing any of the coverage. 1 Quote

livemusic Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 It would be rare for a boat to give you much trouble in the time period of the extended warranty. I wouldn't buy it on a boat. They love to sell extended warranties because it is close to 100% profit. Â Only thing I buy an extended warranty on is something that has a good chance of breaking and it doesn't cost much. Like, a game camera I bought, the extended was only, like, $4 on a $60 camera. And I had a game camera go bad on me after only 1 year. Also, a fishing rod, where it's no-questions-asked replacement for a few bucks. I've bought that, too. Probably statistically, we're better off not to buy any of it lol. Quote

Two bank onboard charger is one of my first choices with retractable transom straps as well. When I financed they tried selling me a spare tire for like $250 - $280. Figured I could find one locally for a much better price and save a few dollars. I am putting my Maxxum 55# trolling motor on off of my Bass Tender and also mounting my Lowrance Elite 7 on the front deck. 1 Quote
Bolar Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) Does anyone know what size spare goes with the trailer?   I just called the store, they said the trailer tires are ST185 80R13C. Looking around you can definitely do better than BPS price. Cory Doras Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 I went to the BPS in Foxboro Ma today and seen the Heritage. I already have a boat so Im all set but for $10K, its well worth it. Its not as small as I thought. Perfect for a weekend guy or a first boat for the kids. Salesman told that they are only selling 2500. If your looking for a good lil cheap boat, this is it. 1 Quote
Skew12 Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 I saw it in person at the Richmond Expo. Great package for the price. The carpet looked better than I thought it would. Might just order one soon. Quote

It was weird, I told them at the show I was going to put $1500 - $2K down but the loan I was approved for was for no money down and 120 months and they had already added the cost of the GAP coverage, 7 year warranty and 5 year Accident/Health into the payments.  I called and tried to put $2K down and they said that I can't because it will bring total financed under 10K and they won't finance under $10K so I'll be putting $1500 down. I called my insurance company, State Farm, to get an insurance quote and they asked if they could try to get me better terms on a loan and surprisingly they couldn't beat White River's interest rate.  I'm only going with the gap coverage as it really doesn't add much to the payments and depreciation on boats is worse than cars. JackDaReeler Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 1 hour ago, SeriousBlack said: I gotta figure out what to do about the fish finders... As far as what? The included one doesn't look too hard to replace. I checked the wiring routing yesterday when I was at Cabelas and it shouldn't be hard to run new wires from the transom to the console. Bow mount for the trolling motor might be a bit trickier. I didn't check that out but I can stop tomorrow and check it out on my way home from work. 1 Quote
SeriousBlack Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 If I move the stock up front, what can I fit on the console? Quote
