andrerus Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself to the community.. I've frequented this forum many times looking for information and I figured it was time to join to benefit even more from the knowledge available here. I live in the northeast Italy near Venice. I fish in a small pond and I love to fish with crankbait, swimbait, jig . Looking forward to everything this site has to offer! ciaooooooo 1 Quote

andrerus Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 wow, thank you all for your welcome Yes Italy it's very beautiful and the people it's very good (not the politicians...wroste in world) We have bass in our natural lakes or ponds and rivers smaller than USA lake (I follow elite series and FLW) The dimensions are less than USA bass...here in Italy a monster bass it's 3kg or more (6,6 lb). we have two types of fish that you don't found out in other places in the world: the Esox flaviae and the salmo trutta marmoratus. that fishs must be giant (esox 130cm and 25kg and the salmo 1mt up and 12kg) we use float tube like outcast fish cat or similar. We have boat like skeeter and other but you see it only in a natural lake or big river (garda lake, brenta river) This year I had catch a few bass (2kg up) ciao a tutti!!! 3 Quote

Super User soflabasser Posted December 16, 2017 Super User Posted December 16, 2017 Welcome to the forum. Quote
andrerus Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 The Italy bass it's not comparable to the USA bass to dimensions ahd weights. The big bass caught in an elite series in Italy was a 3,290kg. The big bass caught in the elite series USA this year was 10pound. The type of bass, of our naturals lake and the clime don't produce giant bass. Another big matter about the bassfishing are lures and equipments. We love to use japanese tackles: Evergreen, DEPS, JACKALL or megabass rods are very used, but a lot of people use IROD, KISTLER, St.croix, kistler or quantum. The most common reels are daiwa or shimano JDM. Not a lot of quantum or abu garcia Lures: We use japan and USA lures. Personaly I use: HB: SK, Rapala, EG, IK, Megabass, DEPS, JACKALL, Lucky craft, mann's, storm and other like nories or similar. SB: Zoom, SK, net bait, DEPS, IK, JACKALL ecc.ecc. Normaly the bassfisher in Italy uses: soft bait, spinner and frog. I uses: crankbait, I love it in all type (square, mr, deep). Lipless, spinner or chatter. soft bait in general on a texas rig or jig Now you had a little view on a bass in Italy. If you visit Italy and you want to fish I advice coghinas lake in Sardinia, Bolsena lake near Rome or Garda Lake near Verona. ciaooo Quote
