DomQ Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 So I've been packing everything up for the winter and this past fishing season was all about soft plastics for me. I've accumulated quite a lot from the start of the season till now. My question is that I've taken them out of their original packaging and am now storing them in little plastic lunch bags. I'm concerned that the paddle tails on my swimbaits and the appendages on my craws and creature baits might get folded or out of shape. Should I consider a different method of storing them or is there a way to mold misshapen soft plastics back to the original orientation? Or am I just over thinking everything? Thanks for the help guys! Tight lines. Quote
nascar2428 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 A ten to fifteen second dip in boiling water should do the trick. 2 Quote
Super User Angry John Posted December 13, 2017 Super User Posted December 13, 2017 The boiling water trick works. Gene talks about fixing flukes this same way. Dont know that storing them over the winter would be any worse than any other time. The hot summer can get them hot enough to deform so if you have tweaked plastics that would be when i would think it would happen 1 Quote
