thinkingredneck Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I fish primarily from a yak. How about you? Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Bass boat but love jumping on the ATV and fishing the ponds out in the middle of nowhere. Quote
CarlF Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Access is an issue where I fish. Reservoirs I like to fish are privately owned, and dont open the boat launches until May. So boat (as much as possible), and float tube for all else. Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 12, 2017 Super User Posted December 12, 2017 Fresh water; My bass boat the majority of the time, occasionally bank fish small lakes, ponds, streams and rivers. Tom Quote
Turtle135 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I am fishing from the kayak 99% of the time. 4 Quote
long island basser Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 From my bass hunter or porta boat. Haven’t fished from the bank in probably 25 years now, Quote
crypt Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 boat 95%-bank the rest..............5%... Quote
Super User gim Posted December 12, 2017 Super User Posted December 12, 2017 Boat 90% of the time. There is a river that's too shallow and rocky that I fish in the summer and I use an 11 foot jon boat for that. Quote
68camaro Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Bank 75%, yak 25% only because I have two ponds in neighborhood and a couple by work I can do from 30 min to couple hours so I get to it several times a week, while yak keeps me out from half to full day so I go much less due to less time to go. Quote
volzfan59 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I fish from my yak, in the river, most of the time. I fish as a co-angler with a buddy also. That's about the only time I "lake" fish anymore. Quote
Junk Fisherman Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Boat 100% Bought a yak 2 years ago and used it 6 times. Never used it this year. Need to sell it. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 13, 2017 Global Moderator Posted December 13, 2017 Mainly my bass boat, but I'll also roll in a johnboat, yak, or on the bank, fishing is fishing. 1 Quote
Super User JustJames Posted December 13, 2017 Super User Posted December 13, 2017 Bank 70%, boat 20% yak 10%. I don't have a lot of time each trip 2-3 hours so I rather grab 1-2 setup plus a few lures and head to my fav spots. Quote
Way north bass guy Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Boat 99% canoe or shore the other 1%. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted December 13, 2017 Super User Posted December 13, 2017 22 foot Lowe deck boat , flat bottom jon , canoe , kayak and plastic bass boat . Theres not many waters around I cant get a craft in . Quote
Troy85 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Boat 99%. Yak or Bank 1%. Most bank fishing is done at local park ponds. Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted December 13, 2017 Super User Posted December 13, 2017 Used to have a Bass Hunter pvc boat that I used in the electric only lakes around me. It was fun and easy to trailer. There are a bunch of those lakes within a close distance. I sold it because I was guiding on bigger water and just not using it anymore. I still bank fish a few private ponds I have access to but it's rare. I tried a yak and it's not for me. I got bit by the new water bug and pull my 21 foot Ranger all over the country now. It's just so much more exciting to fish new water. 1 Quote
BassNJake Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Boat 90% of the time I'll also fish around my father in-laws dock, shoreline with my son and wife. Quote
tander Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 95% of time it is in a boat. I do fish from the bank at our city lake when I got an hour or so to fish. Quote
