Front loading tackle bags

I have always wanted to try one and now Bass Pro has their BPS Stalker front loading bag on sale. Anybody use front loaders? What are your thoughts?

never used one but they seem like a good idea as they would keep all your baits flat. this is even better if you store soft plastics in planos

I use a front loader and love it. I pack 9 3600 boxes. Plus line, tools, worm binder, same a variety of things. Like them for storing plastics "up"

I have the Bps extreme tackle bag. It features front loading and is the reason I bought it. Easily accessible and your soft plastics stay straight if you store them in planos.

I love the bps backpack front loading storage system (the grey backpack with bright green accents). It holds 4 Plano 3600 boxes. I keep all my plastics in those boxes and they remain straight, easily accessible, and I am able to see multiple baits at once which helps keep your options open. 

 

The top part of the backpack is a cooler which is great for water and lunch. Plenty of side pocket storage as well. Very comfortable. Highly recommend. I attach a collapsible net to the bag as well, great to keep your hands free and it doesn't slide off your shoulder

I've had a bps front loader for 5 years now. Starting to break down a bit. Pretty sure it's do to the extreme heat and sun here in the sw. I would buy another one, I carry 7 360s two smaller trays cull tags tools sunscreen line conditioner and dye

The bottom boxes are not as easily accessible as the those closer to the top.  I prefer to keep my bag small and on my shoulder as I'm moving around quite a bit.  Top loading is the only way to go for access while carrying it.

I would agree with you on that aspect. Although I'm not using mine to shore fish, I use it while fishing from a boat. That might weigh in on your decision @Rodney Smith

I don't care for them but for different reasons. I fish some BFL'S, Opens ect . Usually the boater will give you the compartment behind your seat. I just leave the top unzipped and I can open the lid and grab what ever plano I need without pulling the bag out.

 If I'm in my boat I just put the bag in the front deck storage unzipped and do the same thing.
