I posted a while back to get some ideas on my aluminum as far as trolling, casting deck, and fish finder, well im making a little progress and would like some more detailed info as to what you would do and modify to convert this into a bass boat because im coming close to finishing all the other detail work. I'm only 18 and NOT mechanically inclined and therefore not very good when it comes to construction lingo, if you could simplify your posts that would help a ton

My Goals and Questions

Nice Carpeted Casting - Whats the best way to go about doing it?

Bow Mount Troller - Which one would suite my boat

Fish Finder - Where should i mount one on this boat.

Carpeted Wooden Floor in the middle section - Whats the easiest way to install it?

PICS OF PROGRESS

-What would be the easiest way to put a casting deck in that boat, like how would i measure it and stuff?

-What kind of bow mount troller what would best suite my boat, and not break the bank.

- Where would you install a fish finder transducer on that boat.

- What would be the best way to install a wooden carpeted floor, also how would i measure and cut to make it fit?

Thanks!

Not mechanically inclined?Couldn't tell by the good job on the trailer!Well done.Nick go with what

low budget hooker says and has done, good info.If possible i would use aluminum studs, track

for the front deck instead of wood because of weight issues, also a aluminum floor in the middle

around .080 gauge would work then you can carpet or rhinoline. As for depthfinder transducer you

could fab a bracket and fasten over your transom, cabelas has these but can be copied. They make

trolling motor mounts for a transom mount trolling motor that would be cheaper than a bow mount

and by the look of size of your boat 36lb thrust should be fine.
