I’ve been looking to buy a new rod for jigs/frogs and things of that sort. I decided I want a 7.4 foot heavy action rod, and I’ve been looking at the Diawa Tatula rod, or Favorite Phantom rod. Both are around $150. I was wondering which is the two is better or recommendations of other rods in that price range. Thanks

That price point is very competitive. In that price range I would look at St Croix and see if you can find a Megabass Orochii XX. A lot of people of getting rid of them at great prices.

Just a heads up.  If you can live with the 7'2" HF, Walmart currently has them for $101.23

No experience with the Favorite line, but have the 7'4" HF Tatula.  Only had it out once with a hollow-body frog.  Definitely a Heavy.  Didn't load up all that well with the frog I was using.  BTW, Heavy is not an action.  It is a power.

EDIT:  I have several of the Tatula rods.  Like them a lot.  Probably will like the 7'4" HF once I get some heavier frogs.  Might have to ship it to Florida for when I visit.  :teeth:
