LxVE Bassin Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 My chatterbait setup is Daiwa Tatula CT Type R 6.3.1 on a Daiwa Tatula XT MH/M glass rod. So my set up is just under $300 without taxes and it has been perfect for me. My question is what benefit does the Jackhammer offer? I have never fished one and wonder what makes it’s better for the higher price point. Quote

Just has all the bells and whistles (premium hook/snap/skirt/bait keeper/paint). 2 Quote
Lendiesel22 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I really like my lews custom speed stick mag hammer. Soft tip w good backbone. I use my tournament mb with it and it does really well. 15lb big game line. Very light for all day chucking if needed. I could get away with a lesser set up but this combo feels great and performs flawlessly. So many bladed jigs to choose from so that is an open door. Quote
Finnz922 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Don't know if you settled on a combo yet. I really like Irod Genesis 2 723 Stone Cold Swim/Vibrating Jig rod paired with a Tatula SV 6.3 and 16lb mono 1 Quote
Robert Riley Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Its all in the rod. The Dobyns champion 735/6 is a great rod. Ive used one a handful of times and ive planned on getting one soon. Reel doesnt matter too much, i use a Lews Speed Spool LFS with 15# Abrazx. Quote
