I/MBasser Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Looking at them both in 7.3:1 and pairing it with a MHF rod. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Quote
CroakHunter Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I haven't fished the abu, but have the tatula and absolutely love it. I don't think the garcia holds a candle to the sv tws. 1 Quote
Finnz922 Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Agree with Croakhunter. Tat SV is the real deal. 1 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Mechanically, each has its pluses. On paper I'd give the nod to the Daiwa for the bearing supported pinion and unique braking system. On the water either will perform well enough. Go with your gut. Personal preference and the deal are the real difference. 2 Quote
Super User burrows Posted December 1, 2017 Super User Posted December 1, 2017 Diawa tatula I wouldn't even consider the abu Garcia 3 hours ago, Delaware Valley Tackle said: Mechanically, each has its pluses. I do agree with it being personal preference tho you might be a big abu fan so getting the diawa won't make you happy even thoe it's better in my opinion. Quote
thebillsman Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 I got a Tatula SV.. gave it a weekend and ended up with another. I always found myself getting Curado's and Tourney Pros but no more. The Tatula SV performance and value at $125 is unbeatable. 2 Quote
I/MBasser Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 Thanks for the replies. I was leaning towards the Daiwa and this just reinforced my thoughts. Quote

I have several of these and several ct’s Including type r’s and this real is absolutely phenom in the Diawa line for price/performance. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted December 2, 2017 Super User Posted December 2, 2017 The Gen 4's just came out. I've got a bunch of Gen 2's and 3's and just bought another Gen 3 STX on clearance. No complaints from me about AbuGarcia Quote
