Great info. Based on your replies , I will be trying some of these . Its amazing the variation of baits that catch bigger fish throughout the country.

Thanks for the input !

Posted

1) 1/16oz Wacky rigged Senko (4", 5", color, I don't think the fish care they just eat them :))

2) 1/8oz T-rigged Berkley PowerBait Power Worm 7" or 10" Black w/ Blue Tail

3) 5" Swim Senko on an Owner's Swimbait Hook (1/8oz 4/0)

4) Yo-Zuri 3DB Popper (Frog or Gold Black)

5) River2Sea Bling Spinnerbait (White or Chartreuse)

I want to get better with the hardbaits like the Whopper Plopper, crankbaits, and jerkbaits, so I'm throwing them more once I find fish with one of the top 5.

Apologize, thought I was quoting you Tom and asking about Blue being top 4? before the green and tan.

4) red eye shad

5) black and blue senko

Ironically enough - the best fish (all species) I've caught was a musky that hit a senko by some lily pads as soon as it barely touched water.  It was on the first cast of the day while fishing with my dad, a catch that I will remember in great detail forever.
