Rod applications

Hello again everyone. Could someone help me with identifying what use each one of these rods were designed for? These were inherited and I do not possess this knowledge. These are the ones that were being used in the rod locker. Thanks in advance. 

 

Megabass F7-72X (7'2" ExHeavy)

Megabass F4-70T Tomahawk

Megabass F4-610XDti

GLoomis GLX FSR905X (7'6" Hvy Mod Fast)

Gloomis GL3 FSR904X (7'6" Hvy Mod Fast)

Gloomis IMX MBR783C (6'6" Med/Hvy Fast)

 

Also any insight to if there is a rod out here that I could use for spinnerbaits and swim jigs, or would that consist of 2 separate rod selections. I like using a spinnerbait and The Scrounger jig head with a fluke on it.

Someone liked fishing heavy cover.  I can't speak about the Megabass Rods as I have not familiarity with that brand, but on the G Loomis end, that IMX MBR783C would make for a good spinnerbait and swimjig rod.

That's a pretty good intro set of older MB sticks. Is the F7-72X THP a telescoping model? It is a good heavy cover plastics pitching rod. The F4-610XDti is the 'Elseil' and great for topwaters and jerkbaits especially. Still have mine. Good with spinnerbaits as well if you like a more moderate rod for the technique. The tomahawk is for crankbaits primarily. Great find!

It is telescoping. Says Limited Tour and is branded by Aaron Martens with it being an Ito design?

The BD is a great light to moderate cover jig/plastics rod. Has a true fast action unlike many MB sticks which are more moderate. The SD also has a true fast action and more power than the BD. Good for plastics in moderate to heavy cover. Also good for heavier spinnerbaits. The F4-67T is a shorter version of the Tomahawk and good for shallow cranks/topwaters/jerkbaits.

Another quick question if you don't mind answering. 

 

Any of these rods make a good FROG rod? Really want a dedicated FROG rod, and will be in the market if these don't fit that. Plan on setting up a trip in the spring for frogging.

The F7-72X THP would be the best frog rod of the bunch. The F6-67X SD would work for close quarters frogging under overhanging trees/brush.
