Only $300 more for MEGA? That's a no brainer. Still at a price I'll never be able to afford. Lol

Yeah I still would go with a helix over the solix right now because they have what appears to be most all the same features in a cheaper package...maybe a little bit worse of a screen resolution? And no 15'' screen. But either way, the helix mega imaging still is incredible.

I agree. I would go for the Helix as well. I can't get enough of the MEGA imaging screen shots either.

The touch screen is pretty sweet.  My buddy has a Solix 12 on his boat, and I had a hard time going back to the buttons on my Helix.

How do the touch screens do in the rain or with wet fingers/screens? I imagine that was considered and taken care of before hand. I know my work Toughbook gets a little finicky when the screen gets moisture.

No clue, I haven't fished with him in the rain.  I'll ask, though.

That's why I took a second job, just so I could buy a Solix.
