Was kinda funny....was doing some pre-fishing for one of our last club tourneys up here and the guy I was fishing with when I caught a crappie by accident asked if he could keep it...sure I said.  He mentioned I need about four....well I caught four and he said....now I need eight....sorry...you should have said that earlier I said!!!  I ended up with only the four for him.  Was a good day on the water.....LOVE the fall going into winter.

Update:

Tourney was this last Saturday and my or my did things change.  We had nine anglers show up.  Only four caught fish I believe.  The bait and the fish totally moved.  The water had that stillness to it that you just kinda know that it's going to be a tuff day.  The day started with an amazing sunrise of all colors and flat water.  Day ended with a rough boat ride with wind and some rain.  I was blessed to come in second with the aid of a "Ned Rig"  It's kind of funny in that I used to fish like this all the time before it had an official name....but now "I DO" use the TRD's verses the three inch Dingers and love the fact you can fish all day on a couple baits.

Good job on 2nd place I'm trying to narrow down what size ned weight for norris and cherokee what's your preference

I have settled on the 1/16....night and day the bites it gets.  We started pouring our own and now I put a BN Mustad 1/0 hook in it instead of the size two....believe it works better for me.

Good luck at Norris!!

Thats my home lake and finesse is all I can catch them on the past couple of weeks.

Damiki and ned rigs mixed with a shakey head.

(I usually do pretty well with blade baits this time of year, just havent gotten on that bite yet)

I've been getting more bites in the mid section of the lake(Loyston Sea) than I have running either one of the rivers.

Lake has stabilized as they stopped dropping water the last month.

Do you think half a zinkerz will work when the water gets at 50 and under I had planned on using the small gulp but I have so much confidence in the zinkerz how do you feel?

Have used both and it's soooo close.  I'm a color and presentation type of person along with size and they are so close.  Give me a 1/16 and 6# and I believe either one of those baits is going to be happy happy times on the water.
