This gives away my location but oh well! I rarely take good pictures but I like this one. We never seem to catch anything downtown so I was pleasantly surprised.

It's not uncommon to see Ike or Pete Gluszek on the Schuylkill or Delaware right in or around the city.  Neither is known for producing anything spectacular in terms of largemouth or smallmouth, but the Schulkill has become a pretty big deal for guys fishing for flatheads and the Delaware has awesome shad and striper runs and it's pretty common to see lots of boats out between Philly and Trenton come spring time.

Fish, nice fish. I have that on my bucket list for sometime soon. I want to come across the state in the near future and fish the three River area. I'm a river rat and have had the addiction to smallies my whole life. Not sure what has taken me so long to get out there.

I'm the total opposite. I hate river fishing, especially our 3 rivers. I only fish them whenever our club has a tournament on them. I was surprised this year whenever we had our tournament on there. I had 3.71 on three fish, which is usually really good for down there (and I lost/missed about a dozen more bites that would have upgraded me). Winning weight had 10 pounds and another guy had 8 pounds.

I'd like to give it heck for about 3 days. Would need to find the best overall launch site and stick with that area.

I don't think I would overthink a darn thing about it. I'd fish the same way I'm fishing out east here. Condition must be very similar. I feel real good about doing well. And bettering what KVD did out there is my drive to fish your area hard. I think it would be a fun trip.

Good of luck with your tourney  fishing. If you could catch um all day long like the one in the pic that's a heck of a day.

I sent an early morning picture a couple years ago to my wife of a 20 inch smallie I caught on an urban river by where I live.  Had I posted the picture online I would have edited out the water tower in the background with the city name painted across it.  Dead giveaway...  Instead she put it up on FB before I got home without editing and about 20 people chided me/her for advertising their “secret spot!”

(my edited version attached ;)
