Strange , a million people in the area now and only a out of stater comments.

My report is that the bite has slowed some so Im focusing more on saltwater right now  even though due to work and my truck being broke down , I havent been able to go in the salt for a month or so. Hopefully, that will change over thanksgiving weekend.Hoping to go inshore , surf fishing , and bass fishing before monday.

Lonnie, I hope your mom's ok. I will be praying.

Little further south of Jacksonville, but the bite is on and off in the Orlando area. At least it is an in state comment, so getting closer, right? LOL. Caught 6 a little over a week ago right in the heart of downtown in less than 15 minutes. Monday, I got skunked at 3 places, include the downtown lake and a spawning canal near Toho. Cooling down which is good, but now got the typical post-frontal issues.

Some of my friends that inshore on the Space Coast have been doing good with snook and reds.

Hope you get out of the weekend and get some lines wet!

Thanks. I did a couple ponds today after work and worked hard for 2 fish. Niether one will be on my repeat list. I have been trying to find some new ponds to put on the list but I havent found any good ones lately. I Still have a fair list, having grown up in this area. I often just get lazy and fish  out back in the lake Ive fished since I was a teen.

Now they are saying bad weather til saturday. ( wind ) I may go anyway.

I have a friend that fishes the orlando area a lot . We have talked about me going down to fish some of his spots. Orlando seems to have as many if not more ponds than jax in my observation.

Sweet, at least you got something!

I know the feeling of having a list of places to check out and somehow winding up back at the usual spots.

The wind isn't isn't going to be as much of an issue here as the thunderstorms and lightning are predicted to be. I burned a vacation day as a spot came available for Friday. Figured I would hit a couple spots as everyone jams the stores. Looks like instead of dodging crowds, I'll have to dodge the storms to get some fishing done.

Orlando has its share of ponds and lakes, just a matter of which ones you can get to.

My report is from South Florida, which is somewhat far from you, but still in the same state. I caught 17 bass this morning, 4 where largemouth bass and the other 13 where peacock bass. Have done good this whole month and the fishing will only get better as winter approaches.

Thanks for the report. I havent ever caught a peacock bass but would love too.

I plan on going later today so tonite I will report. We had a lot of rain yesterday ,so we'll see how that affects the fishing.

You are welcome @N Florida Mike. Been fishing for peacock bass for over 20 years now, so let me know if you need any help with this species. They fight much harder than a largemouth bass of equal size and they can be caught on a wide variety of techniques. Poppers, prop baits, jerk baits, lipped and lipless crank baits are good lure choices for peacock bass.

Sounds like you need to make a road trip to South Florida to catch some peacock bass. Its only a couple of hours away and you will still be in Florida. Earlier this year I made a road trip with my better half to Northern Florida for some bass fishing. We did quite well and we will be going again to Northern Florida for more bass fishing soon.

Id love to try it down there. The furthest south Ive fished is stick marsh.

Where did you fish up here ?

Ended up with 8 bass this afternoon. Kind of slow.

I say go for it Mike and make a trip down here to catch a couple peacock bass. They are beautiful fish that fight much harder than a largemouth bass of equal size. I was fishing in the Florida panhandle and I plan on going back there soon. Fishing was very good this past Saturday, ended up catching another mixed bag of peacock bass and largemouth bass for a total of 11 bass. Biggest 2 where a thick 21'' largemouth bass and a 19'' peacock bass. Looking towards to the winter.

Little late to this party....

The River is hit or miss...find them, and it's a hit...LOL>  If not, keep going.  It's fishing tough with no grass and and high, dark water.  That said...all it takes is one magic shell bar.

Lochloosa was decent prior to this front...I think everything will be hitting the brakes for a bit with this one.

Hey , thanks for reporting. I have fished the river a lot , but not recently. Fished Lochloosa once or twice. I have fished many of the N.east And N. central Fl. lakes. Just not much recently.( no bass boat anymore ) Downsized to a 12 ft Jon and bass hunter .

My little lake in southern duval is always pretty good.Hit me up sometime and we'll go.

Im on the Southside too, about the same distance from downtown. Haven't gone much in 2 weeks now. Getting caught up on projects while it's cold.

Fish are deep, lethargic and not worth braving this nasty weather lol Had the idea to take the boat out the other morning..hands were frozen and numb before I was finishing loading the boat..put the cover back on and went back inside. Ready for it to be Florida again...
