Well after reading more forums I'm not sure on which rod for swimbaits. I'm looking for a rod that can handle tossing jackall gantias and gantarels. s wavers and Megabass i slides. Bbz1 6inch and 8 inch. And 6-8 inch hudds. the 8 inch baits being thrown not so often but id i like a rod that could handle them. As you can tell my main baits I'll be throwing will be treble hooks and will range from 1 - 4.5 oz baits. but i would like to toss some 6 inch hudds and maybe some 8 inch hudds when I take trips to clear lake. And here's the rods I heard good things about okuma guide select A serious. Dobyns fury 795sb. And irod genesis 2. Which brand and model will fit for what I want the most. My price range is anything up to 150

The 795 will handle most of the baits you described, especially the ones with trebles. It's going to be a bit overloaded with an 8" Hudd but it can do it. Haven't fished the Irod so hopefully someone who has can speak up about it.

I'd suggest taking a look at the Okuma Guide Select series also. The 7' 11" heavy would handle all the baits you mentioned.

So the action is good on the fury 795 for treble hooks

Yes, that's primarily what I throw on it.

If you plan on using 8" Hudds then you should consider 6 power or XH 8' swimbait rods.

The IROD gen2 8' XH casts the 3 oz wakes and rats good, little stiff tip for 68 Hudds but works OK. Use coploy mono or Nylon line like Sunline Armilo Defier Nylon 25 lb and no issues with hook sets with single or treble hooks swimmers. The Irod doesn't have a fore grip, I made one using Winn's Grip rod wrap.

Dobyns FR 806 SB does have a fore grip and IMO better suited for your lures.

Well like I said the 8 inch baits having the least use. I'm mainly focused on throwing the treble hook baits I mentioned above and 6 inch hudd, The 8 inch will be thrown very rarly but I would like a rod that could sorta handle it if I ever want to pick it up and toss it every so often so my main question was out of the irod. fury. or okuma. what will fit my needs the best out of those 3 rods in my price range. Main baits being treble hook and more smaller jig hooks like 6 inch hudds and ospreys. The 8 inch will probably hardly see sun light

I have the 7'11" Okuma Guide Select and use it for the weight range of treble hooked baits you mentioned. I like it, it loads up nice but I would not use it for 8" hudds. You probably could in a pinch, which kind of sounds like your situation, but IMO the rod kind of maxes out around the 4oz mark, not the 6 it's rated for. Plus it's got a pretty moderate action to it which I don't like for jig hook baits. If you plan on mostly throwing trebles though it should suit your needs well.
