I found the swimbait rod dobyns fury 795 now I'm looking for a reel. I know the shimano cardiff is great. But I want a lower profile reel. I'll be throwing anywhere from 1-4 oz swimbaits. Mainly 1 - 2 1/2 oz baits. But every so often I'll tie on my 8 inch bait that's 4oz. So if there's any good low profile swimbait reels that's good for that under 150 please let me know

I have no experience with swimbaits. But have you looked at the lews super duty? I just bought mine for $100 and it feels solid. I am going to use it for pitching super heavy cover. Also found a Curado 300 with power handle for $210 on ebay. Also maybe the okuma Citrix A 350. Abu Garcia "winch" series?

The only options that are worth the money IMO are the A3, Tranx, Lexa 400, or Curado 300. I wouldn't bother with the Okuma.

for those smaller swimbaits you are planning to use , a standard low profile bait caster will be fine . you will be able to spool up enough 17-20 lb. line . 1-4 oz. baits can be thrown on 15 lb. line actually .

a pretty decent reel that will work good is the abu orra winch , on sale at TW for $70 ....

I was thinking the same thing. I'll be throwing 1 - 3 oz probably at all times and that's considered small swimbaits in the swimbait world. I do have a couble that's in the 4 oz range but I'll rarly throw that enless I'm sight fishing for a huge bass that I see, other then that I'll be throwing my *** oz swimbaits on the regular. And I think im gonna go with the Abu garcia revo x gen 4 in 5:4:1 ratio holds 180 yards of 12 pound so that should be good for my smaller swimbaits

A3, Lew's super duty wide spool, Tatula HD 200, lexa 300 in that order. I use the first 3 now for SB fishing and love them.

I've used the reliable old Curado 200B a lot for tossing baits in the size range you're talking about. You can find used 300E Curados for around $150 if you look around a little.
