Super User N Florida Mike Posted October 26, 2017 Super User Posted October 26, 2017 So I go to wal mart and get my new favorite worms. 3 packs of lucky strike tequila sunrise. Go out to truck and heard them fall out of the bag. So I stopped, picked them up, got in the truck, finished work ,went home. Totally forgot the worms until a little while ago. Go out to get them and... no worms. So I look back in the house, then back to the truck- 3-4 times. No worms. All I can figure is I left them on the tool box when I was unlocking the door. How could I do that. Really bummed out ? Quote
riverbasser Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 We've all been there. I've had different experiences though. For instance I've had keys and a trailer hitch lock ride on my bumper all the way to the lake. No idea how At least you were only going home and not fishing. Ever been cat fishing without any bait? Makes it hard to catch em! 2 Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted October 26, 2017 Author Super User Posted October 26, 2017 Believe it or not, Im sitting here thinking about those poor worms laying there in that cold ,dark parking lot. Its almost more than I can bear. I have to go by there anyway first thing in the morning. Maybe by some miracle they will still be there. 2 Quote

How could I do that. Really bummed out ? I can top that. Had my tackle bag on the seat of my boat when fishing at Lake Pickwick. The water was choppy, and at some point, the bag bounced onto the rear deck and ended up in the drink. I did a one eighty and followed the track on my sounder. No luck. A few hours later I got a call from my wife. She asked if I had lost something. An honest fellow had found the bag where the wind had blown it onto the shore. Made arrangements for him to ship the bag and its contents to my home. What are the odds against such a thing? But wait, there is more. I'm a slow learner. A year later I'm fishing Pickwick, and once again I tempted fate, and fate bit me. Once more the tackle bag ended in the drink. A few hours later I get a call from my wife asking me if I lost something................................................ A fellow who was in a sailing regatta saw it floating in the middle of the lake and picked it up. I called him at the number he gave to my wife and told him to keep it. The bag obviously did not love me as it had twice abandoned ship. Maybe it would prefer being with him. 4 Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 27, 2017 Super User Posted October 27, 2017 Forgot that I had placed one of my favorite Cavitrons on the rear bumper of my SUV and took off on some errands. When I remembered what I had done, I followed my path in the SUV and found it. It had been run over a few times and destroyed, but at least I found it. Had excuse to buy another one!!! Quote

You cannot lock the fob in the vehicle. 1 Quote

You cannot lock the fob in the vehicle. Really??? My wife is only 30, had a key fob her entire driving life. Once heard/read that people had "interceptors" that they could use if you used you fob to lock your car and they could copy the transmission and later unlock your car and steal it (don't even ask me). So she has been in the habit of taking her keys out of the ignition and using the manual lock since she heard this. Well, 3 kids later, she may take the keys out and lay them down to help a kid and lock the door and shut it. Absolutely blows my mind, but I have learned to keep my mouth shut, Quote

Luckily I lived 2 miles from the ramp, walked/ran home and got the spare. Spare is in my wallet now Quote
