I know there was a thread a week or two ago on kastking braid, and it pretty much went down the tube.  Not looking for that here, I just want some info on their braid from people that have used it.  It's a lot cheaper than power pro, but how does it compare performance wise?

Mega 8 was my favorite but they stopped making it. I now use the new 9 strand they offer and have had great success. The affordable SuperPower braid is a go -to for affordable braid. Not as smooth and thicker. Way cheaper though.

I've been using their 4 carrier braid.  Works great.  I don't care for the smoother, 8+ carrier lines.

Another vote for the 4 stuff.

I like the super power (4 carrier), a lot. Similar to original PP, but seems to cast better and stay wound tighter than PP did for me. I've used it for a lot of different uses on casting and spinning gear. Used it to flip grass and wood all summer, used it for all my treble hooked topwaters, my Ned rig rod, senko/fluke spinning rod, and skipping spinning rod, as well as all my spinning reels I use on guide trips, all spooled with Super Power.

Use it on every reel I own that isn't meant for cranks, great product, no middle can keeps the price so low, great buy IMO

How does the colour hold up? Debating  to pick some 50lb yellow braid for pitching jigs or 12lb yo zuri hybrid.

I have the pink braid, and it's held up pretty well.  It fades with use, but it's still pink.

Same experience I've had with the pink. I haven't used the yellow though to say for sure that it's the same.

Used both Mega 8 and Fortis in 10 lb. They were both crazy thin, especially the Mega 8. Concluded that both were rated by JDM standards. I like a braid I can lean into so I should remember that in the future.  Problem is that Fortis doesn't seem available like it was before. I wish Mega 8 came in other colors. Saw it in blue on E-Bay, but KastKing doesn't list it. You never know what you're getting from some of these sources. For now I'm using other stuff.
