Been doing 6 days a week for the last 9 weeks in the PPL program I’m doing. This past week though I only went 3 times Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Did push on Monday pull on Wednesday and just cardio yesterday and a little bit of core.

Been nursing a slight shoulder injury so took time off to not stress it. Wasn’t a gym injury but might as well have been with how I did it. I’m too stubborn at work to use a hand cart when banks ship coin if it’s just a few bags. Few weeks ago a bank shipped half bag of each denomination other than pennies which was a full bag. Carried it all out to the truck leaving my gun hand free like supposed to do plus my route is down town in the hood areas Rochester so want gun hand free just in case. Was roughly 90lbs in a coal sack instead of on a hand cart. Shoulders been sore since.

Tomorrow I plan on starting week 10 and going the full 6 days.

Been going still not as consistent as I was though were super short staffed at work. My only chance to go is before work so I get up at 0145 during the week and hit the gym 0230-0400 then get to work before 0500. Some days I hit snooze to many times haha. Tough when fiancé works 1900-2300 and I just get short naps in while she’s at work with our daughter needing me.

started a new program like I’ve been doing. Not new but finished the 10 week ppl program now doing the 12 week FML program again and half way through week 3. It’s a 5 day week program. Chest/calves, back, legs, shoulders/traps, arms/abs. Alternating weeks high rep then low rep high weight.

I’m definitely seeing progress and improvement my weight is kinda staying consistent. I dropped 25lbs when I started this life style I’m back up some where I’m fluctuating 205-210.

Tried to go this morning before work and turned alarm off instead of hitting snooze. Woke got out of bed what I thought was 2am grabbed my phone to get ready to go and realized it was 354am and I have to be to work at 5am so no gym this morning.

got out of work early only had a 8hr day as opposed to my usual 10-13 hr days. Went to the gym after work and that was a huge mistake. Gym was packed then got more packed when highschool kids got out of school. Only managed to get 3 exercise is for chest today incline dumbbell, incline smith and flat barrel press. Kept having people walk past me as I was doing barrel press and had to stop mid rep so didn’t hit them they were so close. I packed up and left after 25 minutes.

Might go to the gym that’s in the school while my daughter is at cheer practice. Get a little more in hopefully I’ve never been to this one just heard there’s one at the school and it has cables I’ve heard.

Your stories and excuses are very typical of every person who has ever ventured into trying to manage their own fitness.  You'll get Zero pity from me - Zero.

There are solutions to every hurdle you think is in front of you,

you're just not looking hard enough.

Everybody has or had to work, Including me.

And there is no way you are working more than I did.  None.

And I stayed in shape through my 30's, 40's 50's and now into my 60's.

You've had some health challenges but so does most everyone.

Don't come on here and list what's holding you back.

Instead, talk about how you overcame them.

You can ALWAYS do a very effective and beneficial body weight workout at home.

Just need to know how to do it.

Read up on it.

Some very basic and affordable pieces of equipment can help.

Your negative vibe is not helping anyone who follows this thread, including me.

Stop whining and make it happen.

Man Up Clayton.

Maybe he wasn't looking for your pity.  Rather....encouragement or even tips to help "make it happen" beyond "read up on it and stop whining".

Hard stances are something my father thought was good parenting, and is the reason we're not close anymore.

Clayton & I go way WAY back, look it up.

I've been in his ear about diet, and exercise for a long time.

Helped him pass his PF so he could get into the service,

He knows where I'm coming from and although I probably could have done that in a PM,

that's not my style. The 'hard stance' doesn't mean I dislike the man, on the contrary.

If that were the case, There would have been no response by me at all.

The hard stance is a special tool brought out when circumstances dictate.

And IMO, this was one of those.

I make no apologies.

Can't comment on your relationship with your Dad.

Workout Day 2 this morning.

Just grinding them out one after another.

No line to get in the gym today either.

So that was nice.

With a mostly full schedule of medical appointments today,

early morning was my only option to knockout Workout Day 3.

So that's what I did.

Felt like a decent effort too.

Back around to Workout Day 1 this morning.

This one was tough before it even started.

Have a lot on my mind.

And even with an extra day off,

which often has me chomping at the bit to get in the gym,

I really felt like I was dragging my azz down there.

Once I got going I felt a little better.

But it was a true mental battle to get this one done.

Sometimes it just goes like that.

Plan on treating myself with a big fat ribeye for lunch.

Looking good @A-Jay!

My year has been a roller coaster. Mom and dad’s health hasn’t been great so been helping them and spending as much time as I can while I can.

Been back at the workouts for about 6 - 8 weeks now consistently. Mostly doing complexes, trying to get as much volume in as I can with what seems like the limited time I have.

Eh, I’m getting there.

Take care my friend. Best wishes.

I am very happy to report that my knees have been making a significant comeback. A period of rest with light activity has helped a lot. I’m hoping for a full recovery but I’ll take anything I can get. The recovery time has been quite long. It is comparable to the amount of time my rotator cuff took to heal a while back. Here’s hoping I make it out of this with just some mild arthritis in my back and a physically fit body 👍🏻

At 24 years old I have abused my body more than enough

Started out Workout Day 4 with the Cable Sissy Squat.

Always gets my attention.

Prior to adding this movement to my training,

I had been having some minor but nagging Knee pain.

At this point, it has completely resolved.

I am a Big Fan of that !

Back in the home gym for Workout Day 2.

The extra off day had me ready to go.

Knocked this one out with no complaints.

First Day of the December and Workout Day 1 was on tap.

Seemed appropriate.

Been mostly satisfied with my effort & performance the past month or so.

Hope to keep that going.

Workout Day 2 today.

I went into this one feeling uncharacteristically flat.

I hate it but I didn't let it keep me from putting in the work.

After an extra off day, spent blasting another foot of snow away,

I was back in the home gym for Workout Day 3.

Despite the late afternoon time frame, I still felt pretty decent during this one.
