My hound tries to help every morning before his breakfast but he only eats like 4 tall blades of grass…..

Every dog we've ever owned, fostered or cared for - even for a day,

think they are part sheep and will eat grass until their face is green.

Makes be crazy.

I asked our vet about it years ago and he said, welcome to the club and get used to it.

They ALL to it.

I just dis-like the midnight vomit that comes with it.

The dogs, not me.

🤮

My wife had to pull a long grass stem out of our pyranese mix’s exit the other day,  it was just hanging out of there while she was running thru the house 😂

Training day number 71 so far this year was Workout Day 3.

I did what I could and it felt pretty good.

Workout Day 5 this morning.

Completed 3 working sets and a drop set.

Went a little heavier in this one with the intention of taking the next 2 days off.

At least one of which I should be fishing somewhere.

I got some X-ray results back. I’m not even 25 years old but I already have a mild case of arthritis in my back. Something is slightly out of place as well. I don’t want to go into what caused this, but I’ve dished out a fair share of abuse to my body. Fortunately, I don’t currently experience much pain day to day and have been working a great gym routine. I’m hoping that through minimizing impact on my joints and strengthening my core, I can remain quite functional for many years.

Coming up on 5 straight days of not working out.

Totally unscheduled lay off and the kind I've really tried hard

over the years to to avoid.  This deal was not.

Interesting thing is with that type of lay off, barring an injury, which I do not have,

the eternal muscle soreness that comes with  training every other day,

is totally gone.

Kind of nice.

However what's also missing is that 'really great feeling' that effective

routine and consistent resistance training provides.

Mind, body & soul.

In the end, I much rather be a little sore than feel as flat as I do right now.

Hardest part of these deals for me is once I get out of the groove of

eat, train, sleep & repeat; it's a bit of a chore to spin that all back up again.

That's where understanding and believing in the benefits this offers come into play for me.

Makes it the driving force to just put my head down, grit my teeth and get it done.

Well all of that starts back up in about an hour.

Still going strong in the FML program I mentioned previously. Second day of week 11 in it this morning got 1 week left in the program I’ll finish it just in time for our vacation to Florida next weekend.

the app keeps record of previous work outs so I can click the little clock in the app and it will show previous sets. Some of them I’ve improved almost 150% others it’s not as much but big improvements in all workouts.

I've put on weight though from when I was at the lowest I weighed myself a few weeks ago. Shirts and pants are still looser fitting like I’ve lost weight but number on scale is a few(6) higher so gotta be muscle weight gained. At first I wanted to be 190-200 but I’m stuck now 210 seems to be where my body likes.

Dang @A-Jay. I hate COVID. The symptoms were pretty rough for me. Hope you feel better ASAP.

I have always been pretty skinny but currently tied for my heaviest fighting weight at 165lb, 5’8”. Have been working a semi-aggressive regiment to try and gain some more lean muscle and trim off excess fat. Strength has gone way up very fast. I eat a lot of chicken breasts. At some point here I want to switch gears and swim a lot but just focusing on strength and lean mass currently. My knees and back feel better than usual today. I hope that continues.

Still Working To Stay Lean.

Been over a month since I've posted one of these workout videos.

Contracting Covid (again) as well as tweaking my lower back set me back a bit.

I'm doing better now and after stringing a few of these training sessions together,

I posted this one.  Still have a ways to go to get back to where I was before the chit hit the fan,

but I'm heading in the right direction at least.

Plan on keeping this going.

A-Jay, still working to stay lean myself sir. Things are going well, and, I've added a pull up bar to my workout plan. Every little bit seems to help, and dropping the weight is the best thing I've done in years.

Back around to Workout Day 1 this morning.

Feeling a little stronger every day

but I'm in no hurry to rush myself back

and straight into another injury.

Baby Steps Bob.

Maintaining the self discipline to keep my diet clean

while getting sufficient sleep, regardless of the copious amounts of stress flowing up in here,

is a big deal as well.
