Been back lifting now for two months, 3 - 4 times a week after almost 10 years off the iron. I feel great and realized how much I missed and needed it. Higher reps and lighter weights than I'm accustomed to are really working for me.

I've been on TRT for for 6 months and my muscular growth rate is crazy. I've gained 7 pounds, shirts are fitting differently, and had to punch a new hole in my belt. Supplementing my diet with Creatine, Whey Protein, and TMG.

That's Great !

I'm sure there's still plenty of muscle memory happen there.  I benefit from the standard weight training supplements myself, minus the TRT.  Seems a lot of middle and later aged men go that route these days.

Hope it continues to go well for you.

Workout Day 5 this morning.

My lower back was barking at me so I accounted for that.

Skipped the core work.

Might need an additional off day.

Have to see how it goes.

It's always something.

A-Jay, I always follow your thread on keeping lean. I've currently lost 15lbs, and am working on another 5 pounds to lose.                                                               I basically cut way back on sugar, and have been keeping with a evening exercise program of bike riding( indoor bike) and sit ups. It's a good thing for me, and I feel better as a result.

@Mobasser  WAY TO GO !

So glad to hear you're taking control of your deal and that you feel better as a result.

Almost impossible not to IMO.

Never too late and the first few steps are the hardest.

Keep it going !

And Thank you very much for your support here, I really appreciate it.

I know that sounds a little corny but it's true.

This thread has over 65K views so you're not the only one checking in,

just that very few folks comment, which is fine.

I get it.

Back in the home gym this morning for Workout Day 1.

Did end up taking an additional off day.

As a veteran lifter, I had to either learn to listen to my inner humanness,

or suffer the negative consequences.

Ignoring the signs often made a small problem into something else.

Either way, I'm back to 4 meals a day, my standard open water regiment.

I'll lose some body fat I had fun adding over the winter and get a little weaker (relative term).

But I'll eventually feel lighter on my feet and gain some endurance.

Both deals come in handy for those Lake Menderchuck deals.

(which should have included sun screen, but didn't)

I was back in the home gym for Workout Day 3.

Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.

Perhaps consider not allowing your mind to wander,

apparently it's far too small to be let out on its own.

That is a pic of Jim Carey in one of the funniest skits on 'In Living Color'.  Thought it would get a laugh in the workout thread.  Boy was I wrong!

I know who it is.

Perhaps adding the above text to your inital post, rather than just the pic, would have helped the presentation.

Otherwise, it's hard to know what was going on there.

Your post was funnier than mine.  Totally something my friends would do.

Took my scheduled off day plus another on the water ~ Good Times.

I was back in the home gym this morning for workout Day 1.

Set the tone right off the bat with some weighted hanging knee raises.

After my routinely thorough warm up,

I completed 3 working sets of the 4 movements scheduled for this Workout Day 2.

Starting off with Step Back Lunges always get my attention.

Spent my off day on Lake Menderchuck and then took a mainainance day to recover from that deal.

But I was back in the home gym this morning.

Workout Day 3 started with Rack Pulls and they felt pretty good.

Finished with some core work and that never feels good.
