Spent sometime before it got too hot working the dogs this morning,

so I got a little bit of a late start in the home gym.  Still knocked out 3 working sets of the 6 movements scheduled in workout 3.

Showing the last set of each here.

Plan to take the next two days off and then back hard on Sunday.

Shoulder does not feel quite right on my right side. Not associated with my previous injury. The localized pain is in a totally different area. More on the front and side of my shoulder.

Think it is a small issue and will not change fishing but will be stopping lifting for a bit

Nah ~ Everyone needs to go to the gym.

And deep down, they all know it.

There’s a quote I saw hanging on a gym wall in MO. Read “You think lifting is dangerous? Try being weak. Being weak is dangerous”

Phyical a strength is a relative thing.

There's always someone stronger and always someone weaker. Being the best version of me is where my focus lies.

Had initially planned on taking an additional off day.

Didn't feel like I needed it and I had a decent amount of stress to unload.

Done deal.

Workout 1 was on the docket, and that's what happened.

Competed 3 working sets of 6 movements.

Showing the last two sets of each exercise here.

Way to go A-Jay!

Shoulder feeling quite a bit better but I am going to give it a while longer. Maybe up to 2 weeks. I think I know when this originated, never thought much of it, but it does need rest

Thanks and glad to hear you're on the mend.

My old bones are hanging tough; somehow.

 Workout 2 this morning.

Had to dig deep and used plenty of guts & guile.

"We can ignore the signs that life is giving us, and in doing so shrink our perspective, capacity and abilities so that we don’t see a problem; or we can choose to move forward boldly to find the new path, with all its uncertainty, possibilities and potential.  This requires us to open our minds and thinking, and to take bold action moving forward. Took my scheduled day off plus an extra one as yesterday we were on the road all day.

(Long distance Dr's appointments)  I was pretty toasted by the time we got home.

Back at it this morning for Workout 3.

Competed three working sets of six movements.

Showing the last one of each here.

This has forever been a work in progress and this one certainly felt like that.

Yeah how’s your mile and a half time??? ?

In the Pro-V bass,

it's just over 90 seconds . . . .

:Victory:

I stopped running I think 8 years ago now, maybe 10.

Being fit for my life doesn't include any of that.

But lifting stuff and putting it down does.

And I barley have enough gas in the tank every other day to pull that off.

Showing up is the hard part. Once you’re there it’s all therapeutic.

never trust anyone that likes running.?

While I rarely get off scot-free,

as a result of yesterday's efforts I've been rewarded with a very healthy dose of muscle soreness.

Said it before and I'll say it again.

Don't totally hate it but just never get used to it.

In my mind being 63 'hurts' enough; thank you very much.

Been doing what I can to get the most of out this training.

Eating decent, getting plenty of sleep and staying hydrated in the heat.

Completed 3 working sets of the scheduled 6 movements.

@Cbump

Not sure what you're asking but that looks like some nice running either way.

Keep it up.

I’m pretty good at running and I hate it, lol. So maybe I agree, don’t trust runners. Maybe they don’t like themselves ?.

I ran track and XC in high school and fortunately I just never seem to lose the ability to run well.

Running is good exercise and I still do it on my own sometimes. Impact on pavement isn’t great but in moderation, I think it’s fine

Workout 2 this morning.

Ended up being one of my better efforts, especially recently.
