Three working sets of:

Partial Dead Lift, High Cable Row, Cable curls and Core at the end.

I was sort of feeling my age this morning.

Got this one done in spite of that deal.

Off Day tomorrow

Did a very decent Leg Workout yesterday that I didn't video but probably should have.

Either way, Push 1 this morning went just as well.

Chest, Shoulders & Triceps.

Included Overhead Shoulder Press, Chest crossover with resistance band,

Leaning Press, Cable Triceps push down and a weighted rope crunch for the core.

Pull work tomorrow: Back and Biceps

Train Hard

Looks like a great workout!

I've been really focusing on mobility and have been working on a quick lift - one arm ******, an old time strongman move - the bent press, overhead squats - supports the ****** and bent press - and a multitude of accessory lifts to support all three. I'm really getting my mobility work in with these workouts and the bent press really nails the core.

Had a really good follow-up with the doc on Tuesday. BP is normal and cholesterol which was fine has dropped as well. I'm feeling really good these days.

Thanks for posting, man. Hope you're feeling much better.

Thank you my friend and I'm getting a little closer to where I was before the insanity day by day.

But SO GLAD to hear you're feeling Good !

So easy to take that for granted, I know I did.

Not any more though.

Every 'good day' is a GREAT DAY NOW.

Stay strong brother.

I did take it for granted. I really didn't expose myself to the general public much even though I went to work every day since Covid started. I thought I was through the worst of it and let my guard down a bit. Hated the fever and dehydration that came with it. Worst of all, I hated the step back in my training. Knew it was going to be a minor set back, but a set back is never desirable.

Now, it's time to put ourselves in better positions for more favorable outcomes. I raise my protein shake to you, A-Jay. Glad you're back at it and, as always, the fingers are crossed for the missus.

After a couple of days off I was back in the home gym this morning raring to go.

I've transitioned to total body training which is a fan favorite for this old guy.

Started with Total Body 1 ~ Performed two working sets of Leg Presses, Leg Curls, DB Bench Press, DB Bent Over Rows, Land Mine Press, Cable Triceps Pushdowns and Bicep Curls.

Definitely eased into it but expect to be able to safely ramp it up as I go.

Will be a Day on - Day Off deal.

Took advantage of yesterday's off day to eat and sleep; got a bit more of both.

Back at it this morning with Total Body 2.

Step back Lunge, Toe Press, Overhead Shoulder Press,

Weighted Chin-Ups, Leaning Press and Cable Crunches.

As my ability and capacity to recover improves so does my performance in the home gym.

I like that.

These videos don't really draw much attention, which is totally cool.

Regardless, posting them helps keep me motivated.

New member, but have been following this post for a while. I am 75 and work out at least five times per week, mostly weights. Have been doing this routinely for last 8 years. It has Improved quality of life and helped me recover from two surgeries. I now fish private ponds that require launching a boat from shore , loading and unloading.

I appreciate your dedication to health and your posts.

Thank you. It is amazing how strong your body can be if you work on it. I know I don't have the endurance I had when younger, But am stronger than I was at 30. Too old to work out, too old not too.

Have a great week.

After a nice day on the water yesterday, I was back in the home gym this morning looking to make it happen.  I've been able to keep ratcheting up the intensity a bit each workout.

The muscle soreness has been there but the day off between training days has proven beneficial.

As does sufficient calories & plenty of sleep.

Cranked out a couple of solid working sets on this one; showing the last one here.

Performed Partial Dead Lifts, Leg Extensions, DB Bench Press, High Cable Row, Overhead DB Press, Triceps Cable Kickback and Bar Curls.  While I'll use tomorrow's off day to do some yard work, I'm already looking forward to Saturday's training.

Completed my 101st workout of the year this morning.

Definitely 'trending' in the right direction too.

Big fan of that.

While I usually have a decent idea of it,

I don't monitor my body weight all that much.

More about body comp rather than scale weight.

Either way, before The Covid I was @165-ish and felt pretty good about it.

4 weeks later I had lost at least 15 lbs and did not feel good about it.

Calories are going in nicely now and although I'm pretty sure Krispy Kreme Pizza

and bacon slathered with Skippy would speed up the process, I not going that route, mostly.

Cleaner calories may take longer but it's not really a race.

5 more lbs and I'll be back at my fighting weight.

Total Body 2 this morning.

Three working sets of six movements, showing one here.

Pretty 'Killer' workout for me today.

Made improvements in either weight, repetitions or both on every exercise.

Nice job, man. Glad to hear you making strides. Improvements are always welcome.

I was back at it yesterday after a pretty intense Thursday and Friday, end of a stressful work week and long weekend with family and friends.

It felt great getting back into it. Body mobility felt really good yesterday. Looking for a carry over for today’s workout.

Peace brother!

Total Body 3 this morning.

Wish every training session went like this.

Felt like I had plenty of gas in the tank.

Always a good thing.

Was at it last night. Body mobility was on point; ankles, hips, thoracic spin and shoulders were as good as they had been in forever.

Little sore today though.

Enjoyed my scheduled day off on Thursday (went fishing)

plus an extra 'active rest day' on Friday (insert yardwork).

Back at it this morning with Total Body 1.

My performance in the vertical leg press is steadily improving.

Hoping that continues.

Spent much of my off day yesterday chopping wood.

So we're calling that one an active rest day.

Still, Total Body 3 this morning.

After plenty of warm-ups, I did two working sets of 7 exercises.

Showing the second set of each here.
