Completed Workout Day 5 here.

I'm just humming along right now.

Eat, Sleep , Train, Off Day; Rinse & Repeat.

I like it !

Workout Day 1 on this very snowy Thursday.

As a friendly reminder and unless otherwise noted, these clips usually only include working sets: which are my heaviest sets (relative term).

Which means before what is seen here,

I have already done AT Least one warm up sets of each movement.

(More when performing heavy compound movements)

Those are always done with light then progressively heavier weight and higher reps.

Super important IMO to get some blood flowing through the area I am targeting.

Especially being a Senior Citizen and all.

After my scheduled Off Day was spent relocating a couple metric tons of wet snow,

I took a maintenance day yesterday.

Back in the gym today for Workout Day 2.

Went OK but I was feeling my age a bit in this one.

Have to expect that, but I don't have to like it.

Going into Workout Day 3 I felt like I was ready.

Tried to take advantage of it best I could.

Rack Pulls for reps always gets my attention.

Strangely, mine do too.

And a 2nd & 3rd set didn't help matters any.

Been pretty consistent these past 2-3 months - thankfully. Feeling better than I have felt physically in a while.

Looking forward to the new year with a new routine and a much dialed in nutrition plan.

Good luck to you in ‘25. Stay healthy and happy.

Workout Day 5 for me on this one.

Seemed like I had good energy and tried to keep time between sets down a bit.

So as soon as I was recovered and ready, I'd hammer out the next set.

Adds some intensity to the training, without adding resistance.

Like most winter months, I'm working on progressively getting a little stronger each workout.

But us Senior citizens need to take it slow.

Workout Day 1 to start the week.

After sufficient warm-up, I completed 3 working sets of the 5 scheduled movements.

Showing the last 2 set of each in this one.

@A-Jay you are an inspiration. I'm stepping up my game starting today with a focus on mobility and longevity, but hopefully getting a little jacked too. Having back arthritis in my 30s is frustrating but maintaining good health is probably the best way to manage it long term.

Thanks for the kind words ~

Mobility is Life.

Staying in shape as I get older may be less about adding years to my life

and more about adding life to my years.

Every day we have an opportunity to improve.

Good Luck moving forward.

Completed Workout Day 3.

Felt like I had a little extra in the tank for this one

so I tried to take advantage of it.

Finished 2024 off with Workout Day 4.

Despite a number of distractions and personal challenges,

I completed 156 workouts this year.

Tried my best to make every one count.

Moving forward to next year, since this is going well,

the only deal I plan on changing,

is to get a little leaner towards April & May.

This thread just went over 83K views, pretty wild.

2024 Workout year in review ~

This one was a big time challenge for 12 straight months pretty much.

Ended up going another 12 rounds with Covid while my wife was really hurting and needed 6 weeks of hospitalization 5 hours away.

Once she was finally home, scheduling my training around her much needed and frequent treatments was tricky.  As was keeping my head in the game so I could train at all.

Completing one more workout for this year than last,

shows me something I wasn't sure I had in me.

Either way, plan is to keep grinding away.

It never gets any easier

and that's what keeps bringing me back.

It's New Years Resolution time . . .

I say make at least one.

Don't wait until you're 65 like me . . . . . .

Started the new year off the way I've started the previous 46.

Workout Day 5 this time.

Staying on track with everything needed when I'm NOT in the gym,

seems to get more and more important the further down the road I get.

Workout Day 1 and it had to be a late afternoon affair, not my favorite.

I sucked it up and blasted through this one best I could.

Pretty sure there will be some residual effects for the next day or so.

But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Workout Day 2 on this frigid Sunday in the north woods.

Completed 3 working sets of the 4 movements scheduled today.

Nothing fancy, just doing the work.
