Wasn't able to get into the home gym until this afternoon.

Not my favorite.

But I doubled down and made Push 1 happen.

I'm not afraid to pump up the volume a little

as long as I can get the proper rest & calories to support it.

This one went well.

After a scheduled off day and a fishing day, I was back in the home gym again this morning.

Pull 1 was the focus and I had to work at it.

Battled 475 lbs for a couple of sets, so that felt pretty good.

@A-Jay

No short cuts on those pull-ups, that was full extension ?

Great looking workout.

Hammered out a Leg workout this morning.

Only performed three lifts.

I feel like I got out of this one

exactly what I put into it.

Back at it and I was still feeling that last leg day which was interesting.

But not near enough of an excuse to skip this training.

Might take an extra off day though.

Either way, grinders gotta grind.

After a couple of off days, which included a nice morning on the water yesterday,

I was back in the home gym.

Pull 2 and I trained without music for this one.

Helps me focus and provides some purpose.

Straight up Leg Day for the OG.

Nothing fancy, just doing what it takes.

Push 1 this morning.

Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and some Core at the end.

This one felt pretty good.

Training every other day on this type of split really suits me, especially now.

Pull 1 this morning and it was a tough one.

The mental challenge to stick it out and get this one done

was seriously demanding.

Not sure why.

Legs 2 this morning.

Hadn't trained in 3 days and it felt like it.

Dialed it back a bit but still got my sets & reps in.

Conditioning can fade pretty fast at 64

but my commitment is real.

I destroyed myself for three days on an upper body fiasco. Went back yesterday and it felt so good to dial it back just 5 lbs on all the machines. No pain no gain I guess.

Celebrated Labor Day in the home gym.

Completed Push 2 and it went well.

Side note: There's a list of things I can not do now that I could do 20 years ago.

But it's not as long a list as it could be.

If you're not doing some type of regular exercise,

I would highly encourage you to start

and do it for the rest of your life.

After a useful off day yesterday, it was Pull 2 this morning.

Getting plenty of the right type of calories, hydration & sleep

almost always sets me up for effective training.

This felt like that.

Took my scheduled off day plus a Fishing Day and this morning I was back in the home gym.

Workout #105 for 2023 and it was Legs 1.

Believing in and then focusing on mastering the basics,

has proven helpful in many aspects of my life.

And seems especially important when it comes to health & fitness.

There were big brown bass caught - several.

No report was made.

Going again tomorrow.

Might combine the two trips into one report later.

We'll have to wait and see.

Rock on sir. Rock on. We would like to see your bass, but we can absolutely do without a report if that’s what the weather calls for
