This time of year makes 'feeding the machine' a little easier.

Meaning I'm getting plenty of calories.

 But I may have scarfed down a little too much anniversary cake yesterday.

Total Body Three this morning.

After a couple of warm up sets, two strict working sets gets it for me.

Back around to Total Body 1 this morning and it was all business.

Two working sets of 7 exercises.

I figure at 150 lbs. and losing while getting stronger, an occasional nugget or ten isn't gonna kill me.

Now you're talking, just be glad you don't have one of these near you...

This one is almost 10 miles from me, and I'm always looking for excuses to go by there. They are really good.

There's a local place called Ridge Donut that specializes in apple fritters and beetus about a mile from my house.

Total Body 2 today ~

I'll often do a drop set (less weight) after my two working sets.

Total Body 3 today ~

However I was feeling really flat and mostly uninspired.

It happens.

Rather than blow off the training,

I just dialed it back and hammered it out.

Plan on taking two days off to enjoy the holiday.

Enjoyed  a couple of off days.

Back in the home gym this morning.

Modified my routine a little.

Less Dumbbell movements for a while.

Felt good.

Total Body 2 this morning.

Performed a couple of working sets of each movement

and finished with a drop set.

Showing some of that in this one.

i actually have a body image issues.  i think i am really fat.  i am not.  could i be more slender?  sure, but i am not really fat.

I'm nothing special.

Just some old guy working out in his basement and putting it on video.

 No doubt ~

A properly performed hanging leg raise is a killer core exercise

 that strengthens the front and back side of your core. 

A strong & stable core improves my your ability to perform just about every other movement. 

All of which adds to quality of life.

I did an intense above the waist routine today. My legs are still sore from Sunday's three hour halfpipe/bowl session at the skate park.

100% true, when it comes to skating. I can't believe how quickly I felt the improvements.
