I will never look like that. Never. That lean is not a possibility for me. Even working 70 hours a week hard labor, I was the only guy with fat on me. God bless your genetics and work ethic. It should be an inspiration to all of us.

I'm in the same boat - even back in the USAF when I was in my best shape I wasn't that ripped. Now, even though I've got toned arms and legs...my 'six pack' is turning into a 'pony keg'. I know if I worked at it, I could lose that...but something always comes up and I can't find/make time to exercise that amount.

Well, I’m close as I’ll ever be to a six pack now. That means in the right light on a good day, from the right angle, you can tell there’s 6 squares under the fat.

Trained with a little less resistance and a few more reps per set on this one.

This one felt pretty good.

Week after next, my travel rods might be in trouble  . . . . .

I swear I try to stay lean but Daylight Donuts is 2 blocks away and I have to pass right in front every day ( Tuesdays is 2 x 1), then Oxxo ( a convenience store 2 blocks away in the opposite direction ) has 2 x 1 every Wednesday on Mrs.Freshley's products and I love Snowballs, then at home I'm in taco paradise, there are 6 taquerías within 6 blocks.

Been a while so I'm just checking in.

After my trip to Lake Baccarac last month, while I fished hard, I didn’t train at all.

So it took me a few workouts to get back into the swing of things.

But I’m back at it and that is a very good thing.

This is a quick look at some of it.

Isn't lifting all those huge bass you caught considered weight training?

As this holiday season fast approaches, so does the potential for over indulgence.

Hoping to get a head start on that . . . .

Happy Thanksgiving~
With the holiday season upon us, my own self discipline is tested.
Staying 'close' to a reasonable diet and making sure I'm getting in the gym routinely,
can be tricky.   Guess we'll see how it goes.
You'll see all the Working Sets & Reps in this one
and I talk a bit more about my training.

While I haven't followed any of this thread, I feel the need to comment. Because of my disability, working out is not an option. That being said. I dropped 50 lbs this year just by not eating carbs. Bet I could drop another 20 or so if I gave up alcohol.

Dropping the carbs has not only dropped weight. I have increased my energy and lowered my BP.

For years, BP was 145/90 give or take. I'm at 112/70 as of now. I'm no longer dragging ass at 2pm. I could probably stand to drop another 40 lbs. Baby steps.

Nicely Done @slonezp

I eliminated alcohol a while back - I can Highly recommend it.

You get back a version of yourself that you'll really enjoy.

"You don't set out to build a wall.

You don't say 'I'm going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that's ever been built.'

You don't start there.

You say, 'I'm going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid.

You do that every single day.

And soon you have a wall."

I'm not going to be laying any bricks for awhile. I was doing flys this morning and thought I was having a heart attack. Wife rushed me to the hospital and it turns out I tore a pectoral. Man, it hurt, left pec and arm hurt like hell! Doctor says it should heal 3-6 months, thank goodness I cast with my right arm.

Super sorry to hear that.

Happened to 2 of my training buds quite a while back.

I stopped doing D/B Chest Flys because of it.

Hope you can be on the mend sooner rather than later.

Sorry to hear that.....It is one of those things that just takes time.  When I had my shoulder rebuilt, they found a bicep tear and pec tendon tear.  It was a year before things were better and it was my casting arm ?

It better not take that long, I plan on picking up a paddle in 3-4 months. I guess there are three levels of severity with this type of injury, the doctor told me I'm between 1 and 2. (3 requires surgery) I'll probably be giving up my free weights and go with a machine once it's healed. Just glad it wasn't a heart attack, that scared me.

Today’s Total Body Workout started with some single leg training.

Always challenging for me, especially when it comes to maintain my balance & utilizing good form.

I think I did OK.
