Which Way Do U Run Your Neko Hook?

So I'm fairly new to the Neko rig even though it has caught my biggest bag on Fork. I picked up some of the weedless VMC hooks. And after watching several youtube videos w different pros I noticed they run the hook in the bait differently. With the worm hanging straight weight down Iaconelli runs it with the shank of the hook against worm. Feider runs it w the hook point against worm. What's your experience?

I run it like this because I fish a lot of places with branches and other debris on the bottom, this way allows for less snags

I rig it the same way.

 

It resembles a Ned Rig when hopped on the bottom yet the hook is facing up not down like the Ned. Don't know why just know that it works.

 

I have been having better action as well using a worm with a paddle tail.

There are dozens of video's on YouTube about how to rig the Neko rig. The traditional way is to point the hook away from the weight, just like the picture BigTurtle shared. This helps the bait be a little more weedless, and it helps with hookups, since most fish will eat the bait from above and that puts the hook point facing the roof of their mouth.

I live on youtube lol. Yes there are many videos and I watched a bunch which is why I posted this question. Videos either rigged it hook up or down and I wanted some opinions and decided to do as pic above, thanks.

With the shank against the worm it's more of a vertical presentation and the hook is exposed like a jig worm so you can pop it out of grass. The other way that fieder does it is for more of a glide presentation and has a better hook up in my opinon.
