Super User Jig Man Posted May 15, 2007 Super User Posted May 15, 2007 The guy next door has one he wants me to try out. It has no documentation and no mounting hardware. I wouldn't mind trying it out but don't see how I can keep it on my motor. Anyone got a clue?? Quote
NBR Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Try it out for what purpose? Unless you are having hole shot problems I don't see any reason to try it out. I have a "Leading Edge" on my motor that is a metal plate with the trailing edge tipped down. It does help my hole shot. To mount mine you set the hydrofoil under the anti cavitation plate and mark the holes in the hydrofoil on the anticavitation plate. Drill holes through the cavitation plate. Fasten the hydrofoil to the anticavitation with stainless bolts and stainless elastic stop nuts. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted May 15, 2007 Author Super User Posted May 15, 2007 I am not drilling holes in a $12000 motor. I am willing to try it out for the neighbor if I can find the proper connectors. I don't need a hole shot. Just helping out the guy next door, maybe. Quote
mikfort51 Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 The XRIII is supposed to mount without drilling holes. Quote
