OnthePotomac Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 And I want to thank the great reviews on that little bugger. As I said in another post they saved me a loooong drive to hold one. Cleaned the bearings first thing and they have their Yellow Rocket Fuel, now it is off to the river on Wednesday. I spooled it with 15lb InvizX from my 1000yd spool from Amazon for $89. love that stuff because it has a diameter of .013", which is the same as other Flouros in 12lb. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted October 16, 2017 Super User Posted October 16, 2017 Enjoy it. I'm glad my insight is helping others. I spent some more time on the water with my HG on Saturday pitching a 5/16oz Siebert Outdoors Sniper Finesse jig and it performed flawlessly. Quote
Stephen B Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 I have heard of some manufacturing issues/flaws in the reel. There are a few videos on Youtube about issues. Are you still problem free? Quote
OnthePotomac Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Well, my Curado K got its workout on the Potomac and what a little gem. I found the same situation as with the Curado 70 and the Chronarch MGL in that the cast control had to be tightened more than it seemed usual, but after I did that, no problem. I spooled it with 15lb InvizX and mounted it on an old Galyans 6'6" MH Titanium rod (an incredible rod that can handle anything). I have and it was a good marriage. I threw Senkos, etc. all day with it. Some have reported that the outside brake dial was so tight on their reel that it was near impossible to turn, but mine is just fine in all respects. Quote
