jbmaine Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 hi all, As some of you know I have a new boat on order, and will pick it up in the spring. I put my old boat for sale on craigslist a while ago, and after a couple of false starts I sold it this A.M. It was actually kind of sad to see it go, My wife and I had a lot of good times in it during the last 10 yrs. So good news: I don't have to store my old boat over the winter, and I have $$ towards trolling motor, electronics for the new boat. So bad news : The weather has been really nice up here this fall but now I have nothing to fish out of. So good news : Come spring We'll have a new boat, and be much more comfortable out on the water all day. So bad news : it's going to be a long Winter!!!!!!!! Jim 3 Quote

Lonnie Clemens Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 It is amazing at the emotional attachment that people can have with boats. I am still grieving over a jon boat that I lost a few years ago. I still think about each boat that I've had and the way I liked it etc.... Boating should be a family thing. Get a boat that your wife, children, and friends can enjoy. Boating and fishing is a family event. That way when you buy a new boat. You just tell the wife that it's for her. Quote

I know just what you mean. We hated to see our old boat leave. My wife had a few tears seeing our old boat heading for it's new home. I don't think she would have let it go if we weren't convinced the gentleman who bought it was going to take care of it. We made a lot of good memories in it. However for several reasons it was time to upgrade. Jim 2 Quote
