I just boxed up 6 tatulas to send for service and started thinking why not do it myself and save the $ to buy a few line counters next year! I use them mostly for trolling for kokanee.

I have looked high and low for a tatula tear down video with no luck. Anyone have any direction on where I might find a video showing a teardown?

Thanks

When I broke my tatula down I couldn't find a video on the tatula either. I just watched a few bait caster cleaning videos then went for it. I didn't have a problem putting it back together. Just take pictures as you take it apart and find an exploded parts diagram in case you run into problems

Set up a camera facing the reel as you take it apart, clear vivid shots of the whole teardown. When you get in a step you don't remember, look back at your own video. That's what I did for my first teardown but didn't end up needing it.

This is what i did when i first started cleaning reels. Now i don't need it anymore. I can pretty much just figure it out now.

Thanks guys! I just ripped into it and it was actually fairly easy- Well that is after I had to tear into a second to get the first one right.
