GrumpyOlPhartte Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 To the Powers That Be: Didn't want to start a thread since I'm not certain whether your end or my end has an issue, but every time I log in to the Bass Resource site, I receive an e-mail from you folks stating that I've just logged in from a device your site doesn't recognize. The message is innocuous, but a nuisance because I log in several times a day from either an iPod or iPad. These emails are being treated as spam by my email server. I attempted to use a PM to raise this question since I'm not sure it requires a thread; however, that was unsuccessful. Would appreciate some advice/assistance in making this issue go away. Thanks in advance! Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted September 23, 2017 Global Moderator Posted September 23, 2017 That happened to all of us with the most recent update, but was a one time deal. Weird, must be a fluke thing. Quote
wdp Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 I've had it happen a few times while using my phone. It happened the 1st time after the update and then has happened a few more times only after I've cleared the cache in my web browser. No biggie, I just assumed it was an added level of security from the latest website update. Quote
frosty Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 It happens every time I log out. I only use my phone and I’ll clear it out a couple times a week and it logs me off everything. It’s just a simple email saying someone logged in. Quote

Yup, that's all it is. Whenever you log in from a different device from the previous session, or clear out your browser before logging back in, you'll see this. It's a means of letting you know of a log in, in case there's an unauthorized use of your account. 3 2 Quote
GrumpyOlPhartte Posted September 23, 2017 Author Posted September 23, 2017 @Glenn: Thanx! Works for me. Although I am a little disappointed that all those messages weren't announcements that I'd won something. I'm just glad you're taking care of me much better than Equifax! ? 2 Quote
