Will Bass Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Hello everyone! I just wanted to share this picture. My son just turned two and I’m beginning to introduce him to the art of fishing. I got him a bass fishing toy and so far he loves it. I can’t thank all of you enough for the information on this site. It has helped me to become a better fisherman and I look forward to passing what I’ve learned on to my son. Tight lines everyone! 25 3 Quote

Sword of the Lord Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Is that thing robotic and does it really bite? If so I need one. Errr, for my son. 1 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 21, 2017 Global Moderator Posted September 21, 2017 Can't start them too early! My oldest was 2.5 when he caught his first fish by himself, and I credit that a lot to the fact that he was just over a year old when I got him his first combo to play with. Keep it up and you'll raise your own fishing buddy! 1 Quote

BassB8Caster Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 that is awesome! my daughter is 14 months and i cannot wait to introduce fishing to her. I plan on raising my fishing buddy as much as she wants to be involved. Quote
JRez Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 That's cute. My dad inadvertently made me a southpaw. I had no idea I was using lefty reels for years. Quote
Super User islandbass Posted September 22, 2017 Super User Posted September 22, 2017 Looks like he's ready for the batman/scooby doo/Disney spin caster of his choice. They work surprisingly well. I still have my daughter's Barbie or princess spincaster to which tons of fish large and small fell victim to. She started fishing when she was about 4 when I first started fishing. She just earned her drivers license yesterday and will be 18 next month. Time flies and it seems like only yesterday when she made her first cast and caught a trout in seconds. I know I don't have to tell you to cherish each and every moment because you will. Enjoy the ride and the journey. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Great job bro! I was late introducing my son to fishing for whatever reason IDK. I started at around 4 yrs old. He just turned 8 and flips with a 7' 6" like a pro. You will be so proud when he lands his first one. Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted September 27, 2017 Super User Posted September 27, 2017 This demonstrates you are not just a father, you are a DAD. That warms my heart. Quote

It comes with two magnetic lures and when it makes contact it fights almost like the real deal. When I had to take a fishing hiatus due to Harvey I played with it also lol! Quote
Super User Darren. Posted October 4, 2017 Super User Posted October 4, 2017 Excellent start to his fishing addiction. Quote
