They have a dropshot hair option that look great. Is the hair jig tied in at the bait hook point, or substituted for the drop shot weight? Quote

They are still in the demo phase but progressing. It is a hook tied with hair similar to a fly. No weight. ...so it's just a fly tied into a dropshot rig? Easy peasy: Any bunny strip fly in a color that works in your water. Been doing it for 3 seasons now... Quote

When I dropshot a craw I usually fish it different than a worm or minnow bait. Shorter leader and less wiggling and shaking. Instead, more drag and deadstick. This is a solid choice. Use it on mile lacs and they crush it 1 Quote
fishing_gd Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 The best drop shot craw I have seen yet is one that MANY people do not know about. If you want to go finesse, this is by far the drop shot craw to use. It is called the Meta Craw by Euro Tackle. Super small but tough to get a better craw imitation at this size. 1 Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Super User Posted December 3, 2017 Anyone tried the 2-3/4 inch Savage Gear 3D Craw? Looks good and appendages float, it’s scented, etc. Like the Yum crawbug posted above by Wisconsin Heat and Tonka blue, the Spring Crawfish color with orange tips are perfect for Mille Lacs and other N. Minn lakes. Anyone tried it? Lot more expensive than the Yum Crawbug though.. https://www.google.com/search?q=spring+crawfish+savage+gear+3d+craw&client=safari&channel=iphone_bm&prmd=svin&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj49qXgk-7XAhUF6oMKHX7HDcwQ_AUIEygD&biw=667&bih=325&dpr=3#imgrc=fqLAC--SEpZCrM: Quote

On Sunday we had The Storm Of The Century, 18" of rain! The only boat on the entire lake to leave safe harbor was Big O and two soldiers just back from their third tour in Iraq. The long version of this story is pretty interesting, but I will just cut to the chase here: 144 smallmouth including two Personal Bests! They caught a few on the newly released Red Eye Shad, but the vast majority were fooled by the Rage Tail Baby Craw (watermelon/ red flake). Need to hear that story! Lol Quote
