Got the new River2sea Whopper Plopper 110. T1000 color. Good action, a bit louder the 90 size. Casts real good on a bait caster setup. It's a buzzbait, just more effective.

Here at Yorba, 3rd cast at main lake, had my back turned reeling in and then...SLAM! Chunky 3-4 lber takes it. Good fight thru weeds and bass did not pop off, whew! I'm bummed I didn't see the bass hit the lure.

I'm sold on the Whopper Plopper! Now I want the 110 size Monkey Butt color.

I'm a big fan of the Whopper Plopper, especially in Bone. For me it's one of those baits that draws blanks all day or blows up all day. Today was a good day with it. I caught a 5.75 pounder on the 110 Bone.

I've also caught some on the 90 and 130 in Bone and the 90 in Munky Butt. Oddly enough, I have never had even a single strike on my black 130. Not a single strike.

Nice fish. One of my potential customers gave me a W.P the other day. Its kind of a brown color with stripes. I think its the smaller version. Looking forward to trying it for the first time.

I am new to Whopper Ploppers this year. After reading many comments on this page I ended up ordering 6 of them back in the wintertime. I ordered Loon, Bone and Munky Butt (2 of each) all in the 110 size. I have thrown them twice now on different bodies of water and have had excellent results. Like all of the comments and videos have shown; those Bass annihilate these things. So far I have only thrown the Loon color but hopefully this weekend I'll be on a different lake where I believe the Munky Butt color will really shine. So far so good; I LOVE these baits. I have caught Bass of all different sizes. The one lake I fish was just refilled two years ago after the Dam was repaired (it sat empty for several years). Supposedly they only restocked the lake with fingerling Bass (which should have grown to around 10" or so by now); but my first cast with a Plopper 110 landed me a beautiful 3 pounder. I hooked another one at least the same size shortly after but she wrapped me into a flooded bush. I lost the fish unfortunately as she wrapped me down in about 6 feet of water; but on a positive note; I was able to eventually retrieve my Plopper.....whew!

I've fished with the black and silver 110, the bone 110, a munkey butt 110 and a munkey butt 90 and have completely struck out so far.  I keep going back to em because I always read how much they produce, I just haven't had that luck yet.

in open water  the hook ratio is higher, theres no denying that.

but you cannot replace the buzzbait with a plopper in a lot of situations where there is vegetation, branches or floating debris.

If i  could only have one or the other, id have to go with the buzzbait.

I just caught a bass last night on the 110. I have two 90’s and the 110 just performs better. With the 90’s they seem to nose dive when I bomb it at. The 110 starts plopping right away.

The black works best in muddy/stained water and at dawn or dusk. I don't get bit on it if it's daylight or clean water.

This one was a 5.2lb 21", caught at sunset last July.

One of only two fish I caught that entire day. But it was the biggest fish we put in the boat that day.

Come to think of it, I don't think it's ever caught a bass under 4lbs on that lure. Seems like if it gets bit at all it's always a stud bass. That's not to say it gets bit every time, but when it does get bit it's a solid fish.
