Fishing a new lake, end of summer.

So I am going to be fishing a new lake that I have never been too. I did some homework on the lake with navionics and google maps. I know where I want to start based on that.

 

My go to is jigs and senkos. Next up will be lipless cranks, then other cranks and spinners.

 

I am wondering what the rest of us would do once you are on the water and fishing a new lake during this transition time.

I've never fished any deep California style lakes, but if you post some info about the body of water, that might be helpful for the folks here that fish them regularly.

Fall is baitfish time! 

Swimbaits, bucktail jigs that imitate baitfish. Big jigging spoons and crankbaits.
