Hello my name is Eduardo and Im new here in the forum, im from brazil. I love bass fishing since im a little kid but in brazil LMB dont get very big 5 pounds maximum.

Anyone wants to help a brazilian fisherman friend to realise a dream and go after some big bass around south california lakes. Im going on a business trip to Los Angeles next week for 5 days and Im gonna have 2 days off 22 and 23 of september.

I can drive and i can pay for the help. The guides are too expensive for my budget on this trip.

My facebook is Luiz Eduardo Pavao and my instagram is @shred_duda

If anyone can help its gonna make my trip super special and its gonna help me realise a dream

Thanks alot for the attention and for the help

Hope have some good news from you guys and sorry about my english is not the best

Welcome aboard, Eduardo!

I'm sure some California folks will chime in soon.

Eduardo, your best bet is hiring a local guide, keep in mind you need a non-resident California fishing license; 1 day is $15, annual $126. Do you have fishing tackle with you? If not hiring a local guide eliminates all your tackle issues and they know exactly what and where the current bite is. Your timing isn't good for hiring a guide because most of the good guides are fishing the US Open at lake Mead.

Castaic and Castias are good bass lakes but no longer for trophy size fish. DVL is your best public lake for bass over 5 lbs.

Thanks alot for the info Tom. I have my tackle with me i will try to get lucky. Im gonna try parris lake one day and castaic lagoon the other they are smaller i think will be more easier to find something. Even if i dont get a monster i will be happy just to hook some fish. Lets see whats happens.

Are you fishing this week? If you need a partner let me know lol.

hey guys i went to perris lake thursday, I arrived 6:30 am but the guy from the boat rental was late and only arrived 9:30 so I fished the marina in the morning with not much luck and the wind got realy strong around 8. So i rented a little boat but wedaut an eletric motor was realy hard, around 10 am was super strong the wind. I ended up with 4 baby basses the biggest one 9 inches. It realy sucked the wind was crazy. Now Im in LA I have 2 more days gonna see If I can find and park with a pond to fish one more day. Im in the LAX area any tips on parks or places that i can go?

I would realy apreciate some tips

Thanks guys and sorry about my english

Luis, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. Hope you had a good trip to SoCal and we're able to get on some fish. If you're ever up in NorCal and the Bay Area and would want to fish the California Delta, let me know. Continued good fishing, JB
