bassin homer Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I am looking at a '99 Crestliner with a 50 HP Honda 4 stroke motor. The motor has 636 hours on it and they said most of it was trolling. Is this really high hours for this motor? What could you expect out of a motor like this? They are asking about $9000 and it is equipped the way I want it to be. Thanks in advance for any info. Super User Jig Man Posted April 21, 2007 Super User Posted April 21, 2007 For a four stroke that is not high hours, especially if they troll. It does seem a bit pricey for a boat that is close to 9 years old. You might want to look at the nada guides before you turn loose of your money. http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-24-38-5692-0-0-0&l=1&w=24&p=38&f=5694&gc=MR>c=MR&m=0424&y=1999&ml=C http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-24-38-5692-0-0-0&l=1&w=24&p=38&f=5694&gc=MR>c=OB&m=0010&y=1999&ml=H http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-24-38-5692-0-0-0&l=1&w=24&p=38&f=5694&gc=MR>c=TR&m=0001&y=1999&ml=B Quote
bassin homer Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 Thanks for the reply. Also, would this motor have enough power for this size boat. I do not need to fly around the lake, but get there in a timely matter would be nice. Thanks again. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted April 21, 2007 Super User Posted April 21, 2007 Unless I am missing something, you have never stated the boat size. Quote
bassin homer Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 Yeah I forgot to mention that. It is a 16' Crestliner Super Hawk. Quote
