im looking to get a 24volt system on my 99 tracker 165. i have a 55lb powerdrive now. i can get a 65lb all terrain for 400 bucksbut im wondering is this a good motor? any problems you know of? i know they changed it to the edge now.

also what would be envolved with converting it over. i know i need 2 batteries but will my existing wires handle the 24v setup?

The all terrain was(is) one of the best motors they made. I used a 50AT for seven years and it as still going when I sold the boat. my brother had a 40AT on his boat for five years before he sold that boat and we never had any problems. Your wiring should be 6 gauge but probably could use 8 gauge if boat is no more than 16'.

I currently own 2 AT's, great, rugged, reliable motor.

I've also had an AT since the old MK power drive went overboard.

Great motor.
