fishingfourfun Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I have a 14 foot aluminum v-hull boat. I was thinking about rhino lining the floor and sides. I was hoping this would lessen the noise level of moving around the boat. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if they were happy. I would also know the probable cost involved. Any help would be appreciated! Quote
bassnleo Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 A fiend has his aluminum boat Rhino Lined. IMHO, it's ok, it does dampen noises. My only complaint is that it is really slippery when it gets wet. As far as cost, can't help ya there, he had it done when he bought the boat new. Quote
RottManK9 Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I have a similar product on the hull of my boat. I'm planning on re-coating what was done and coat the inside ribs and arround the drain as well. I found a gallon of it at wal-mart for around $42, spray can's for as low as $3. I like it on on the underside of the boat, I'm plannin on putting in a front and rear deck and platform the middle of the boat so none of it will be visable with the decks in. Jon Quote
logger Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I was looking at using this on my boat once I get the old paint scraped out. Pretty cheap price and claims to not get slippery when wet. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0021475016662a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=boat+floor+coating&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=boat+floor+coating&noImage=0 Quote
LDStarck54 Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I think it might depend on how much it weighs too, when it comes down to how thick of coat you put on...i imagine the rhino lining can get pretty heavy Quote
