lilbuddy Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Has anyone here removed their dash and wrapped it in carbon fiber? I have a 2010 TR-18 and it's got the wood dash look. I personally don't care for that look and was going to wrap it in cf. There's a bunch of sellers on ebay and amazon. Does anyone have a seller they would recommend? I'm worried about the quality and the cf fading in the sunlight. TIA Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted September 11, 2017 Super User Posted September 11, 2017 Another option would be have it hydro-dipped, can do the carbon fiber look or a ton of other looks. Quote

Expand The wrap is like 20 bucks and its easy to do...I've done it before. I just never had anything exposed to sunlight. How much would a hydro-dip cost? Quote
TheRodFather Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 I did a couple of parts of my dash with the wrap. I can't say how it will hold up to the sun since tomorrow is her maiden voyage. It came out nice though. Quote
Josh_Bovaird Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 I did my triton 176 magnum and it looked good 2 years later when I sold it, I used 3m Di-NOC Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 You might as well try the hydro dip and see how it goes in the sun. I did s few parts with some good carbon fiber wrap and after about a yr it faded and turned to a purplish tint. Quote
