Big-Bass Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Before our local store closed, I picked up a few bottles of Gander reel grease and oil for something like $.39 or $.50 per unit. Is this stuff any good...it is a forest green color in the bottle? Not that I am concerned and could ditch it if it stinks since it was cheap beyond belief but is it any better than the standard Abu stuff you can find anywhere? Thanks! Quote

You got a great deal....I believe that it is made by Ardent who makes Reel Butter and Reel Grease. I think that they just changed the color for Gander, that's why it is green. It's original price i think at Gander was about $5.00. It should be the same synthetic ingredients as the Ardent version. Good buy. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 There's no magic to any of it. Should be fine. Try it and see. Quote
